Edit: They've been changing how they monetize the game and people are mad about it. I think it's fine. I've been playing for awhile now, and I think as long as you play routinely and do daily/weekly objectives, you'll be fine. I'm actually a fan of the new system, because the cards you can potentially draw are meta relevant. I only pay for the season pass ($10/mo) and I can make 90% of the meta decks, and 100% of the top ones. They also made it much easier to climb the ranked ladder, which has significant rewards every season.

Edit 2: After about 1.5 years of playing, I think the game has lost its way. They further ruined the card drop system and their pace for releasing cards leaves F2P players, or even season pass owners, in the dust.
