If you want to play an action game that feels rewarding from when you first start out 'til you become a complete master, this is it right here.

Story
If you know nothing about the Devil May Cry series, you don't need to play the previous ones for story, as story isn't the main point of the Devil May Cry series and neither are you missing out on any important narrative exposition. The story is purposefully written to be campy, but also fun at the same time, so don't expect a nobel prize for literature, just sit back and have fun with it.

Audio
There isn't much to say about the audio other than praise. None of the sound effects are annoying, there are even audio cues to help with hearing enemies being summoned, dodging enemies and even timing your combos. The music is 10/10. I enjoy listening to all the characters themes (yes even Dante's) Most of the community / fan base from what I see also highly praise the OST.

Game Play
For some, the because you can complete the main campaign in about 6 hours on average for new players (maybe less) they don't see the game as having much replay value. The replay value isn't about playing the campaign, it's about challenging yourself to higher difficulties and trials. As you play the game and play the different characters, you'll start to get better at their toolkit, you'll see and understand enemy attack patters and you'll devise stylish / efficient ways to beat them. The game play is fun enough that you'll want to see how far you can go with your skills in the game even past playing the campaign once. You'll want to play it the second time on the higher difficulty. Heck you may even try bloody palace, which is a 100 floors of increasing difficult challenges. Once you become very familiar with your character and fighting mobs / bosses, you'll start to not only survive, but style on them, and let me tell you, there is a huge rush of dopamine killing a boss without getting hit and achieving the highest rank on something you once struggled with.

tldr
If you're the type of person that doesn't want a challenge, there isn't much replay value in this game for you, especially if you aren't a fan of the DMC series.
