A phenomenal role-playing game, pick between being a dystopian paragon or ripping Sgt. Teddy in half like the mad bastard you are. There are many ways to progress the game which are all subject to fallout's signature dark humor. While the combat is clunky and doesn't allow for as much adaptability as Fallout 4, it is compensated by the wide array of weapons and character progression, allowing you to approach most situations in a unique way. The DLC is also compulsory as it explores the more quirky aspects of the fallout universe and the morose/unnerving. It also introduces new gameplay mechanics and circumstances that effectively distinguishes it from the base game.
