So far so good. Still haven't made it out of the starting zone yet at about ten hours. People have been complaining that combat isn't fun or exciting and I can only assume they are just playing something vanilla like sword and board. I've got a long sword and a grimoire. I'm playing the on the second most difficult option and everything seems weighty and impactful. I've died to a few encounters and have had to approach in a different way to be successful. These are the sort of things I look for in a game like this. Guess you can't please everyone.

Game is in early access and at the time of my writing this all 13.8 hrs have been spent in the campaign only. That being said the campaign is not yet complete. I am yet to even touch the endless or sandbox modes. This game has a toooon of potential. The art direction and style also makes it clear that this game has been lovingly crafted. High recommended. Even more so if you get it at any sort of a discount.

All other devs should take note. This attention to detail, community, and frequent updates is how you handles an EA game.

DLC was only too tough if you weren't trying. From has decided to have mercy and tweaked difficulty rather than force people to push through.

Incredibly simple. Incredibly satisfying. Incredibly cheap. Incredibly addicting. Edit: More content? Even more addicting.

I would absolutely recommend this game.

For one, it has a ton of content for early access.
The lore and world created is interesting and feels organic.

The graphics harken back to an older generation of games (think Morrowind era).

The crafting and progression is satisfying as well. Base building is fun and the gathering of resources is grindy is the right way but isn't boring.

The combat is also tough but not cheap. There is stamina and different weapons swing different. It is very much of the Dark Souls logic of: dodge, block, or parry.

All that being said I haven't sunk much time into single player. I am always on a server with 3-6 friends and I feel this is the best way to enjoy the game.

If you like getting the s scared out of you with friends this is a great way to do it.

This should be better than it was. Paragon had a good coat of polish when it ended but this game has been a mess since game/day one. Abilities don't go off, characters aren't balanced right, hit boxes are off and makes playing larger characters difficult, abilities that hit don't actually put the status effects on the enemy, and a slew of other issues. On top of all of that, in their infinite wisdom devs have decided to limit premade groups to 3 out of 5, so I hope you don't have a group of friends you want to play with. I had a great time with Paragon but I can't rec this game. I bought this when it first came out to try to support it and now I'm going to try to get my money back.
