This game is a game where you can play for 1000s of hours and still experience new things. No game is the same, no game has the same outcome, no game is where you can reliably predict outcomes 50+ years in the future.

The strategy is really good. If you want to compare this to something like CIV VI then this game is much more strategic. It is very fun to play and while the DLCs are expensive they are often on sale and you only really need a few for it to be good. Even the base game is fine as long as you play in Europe.

You are a undying god/ruler who has full control of a country from the timespan of 1444-1821

The game throws you into a historically accurate map of 1444, and during the game you get a lot of events that are for that time period you are currently in, there is also events for stuff that happened in history to make it more accurate. (The Iberian Wedding, Burgundy Inheritance etc.)

But even though all that happen the games will end up with a historical accurate map. This is 'What if history' - the simulator.

Even almost 5 years after release it is still actively updated, added new features and QoL updates to make the game feel fresh as well as updating in areas that are not particular looked a lot upon yet. (Asia, Africa, America ...)

The game is mainly about Wars, but you still need to keep a eye on the diplomatic, trade, naval, dynasty aspects as well.

I am giving this game a solid 9 right now, and it would be a 10 if PDX would integrate some of the very old DLCs into the base game
