Thanks for the great review.
Cool thanks for the info.
I do intend playing these from the beginning. I might start them reasonably soon.
The steam character limit is a pain! I'll read your review on SoQ.
Cheers.
The combat overall is satisfying and enjoyable, but the bosses are boring and dull. You can't keep fluent movement and attacks going on like you can with gangs that you encounter whilst roaming around the streets, it's annoying how these bosses aren't all that complex and are easy to defeat.
As for the story, its very intriguing if you're willing to follow it, and that's coming from someone who isn't usually interested in following stories in games. It's not necessary to play these games in chronological order to understand the story, though you might have a better understanding of the characters and what they've been through if you do. There are some spoilers from flashbacks that refer to previous games in the franchise so be aware of that if you want to play through these games in order.
I did have a section talking about the story but had to cut it out due to character limits on reviews. The SOQ review will have the full review with nothing cut out.
Thanks for letting me know, guess I didn't proofread this review well enough. Thanks again.
"...this game deserves all the praise that it deserves."
it looks like a oversight. Well written otherwise.
Are you saying that the combat element is too easy or it's just a bit repetitive?
What's the story like in this one? Is it more about the combat or is there a decent story holding it all together?
