What is there to say that has not been said already.

If it's your first cRPG there is a learning curve because the game has a lot of complex mechanics that influence one another.

But it's what makes this game so great, once you start to see how it works you realise it allows you all kind of shennanigans.
Want to bluff your way past a fight, you can, Want to place barrels of explosive while friendly and attack out of the blue , you can, want to use a spell creatively to go around a part of the map you should not be able to, you can.

there are endless possibilities, and more coming in a next patch. This game received love and polish long after winning its 5 GOTY awards because Larian cares.

The story is fantastic, with hilarious moments and moments who will make you tear up because the mocap and the voice acting is out of this world.

I put nearly 250 hours on one run and even if I will now take a break to play my backlog I'm itching for more, a new class, maybe try honor mode, change up the companions I take with me, do an evil run.

This game is the gold standard of RPGs as of 2024, one day some will surpass it, maybe Larian next game, maybe another studio, But it's so good even good games that come out don't get top scores because they suffer the comparison.

One day I hope BG3 quality will be the default, for now it's the exception that shines bright above all other rpgs.

This game will always stay with me and will stand the test of time to become a classic up there with the Bioshocks, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mass effect 2, Assassin's creed 2, Witcher 3 ... games that were milestones and are still regarded as such.

And I can't wait for Larian's next game.
