A step up in quality over the previous installment (which I abandoned). STORM 2 ditches the "Open World" aspect and instead goes for a more linear approach, although I'd enjoy if they offered mechanics such as chakra dashing as was the case in STORM 1. Even though the exploration is more linear now, it often feels sluggish due to how much you have to go back and forth, however this is a minor issue. The story itself is also an upgrade. STORM 2 takes you through the start of the Shippuden series all the way into the Pain arc, while not everything could be crammed in, it does a decent job at telling the story. We also see QTE segments in big battles, which is nicely integrated. The only real gripe I have with the combat is that the substitution jutsu are poorly implemented, it is required to time exactly as you are hit but often ends up feeling like an RNG mechanic. Thankfully, in the later titles they improved upon it. Overall, the game is a great STORM title which deserves playing.

Man...where do I even begin with this game. Okay, NieR: Automata is a sequel to freshly remastered NieR: Replicant. Personally I didn't really have any expectations due to me not really paying that much attention to the title, but I figured that it's high time I dive into it and see what the praise is about. I will not talk about the story in-depth because I want to avoid spoilers as much as possible. However I can say this much, the story starts with a war between androids and machines who were created by aliens. Remnants of humanity had to escape to the moon in order to survive and sent androids to rid the machines and aliens so life on earth can resume once again. As you progress through the game you will start to notice how at first glance insignificant things start to play a much bigger role and dive ever so deeper into the entirety of the lore. Yoko Taro really outdid himself with a story that questions "what it really means to be human". The soundtrack itself was nothing short of phenomenal. I really like that multiple songs have various versions which are dependent on what is going on in the game at the moment, whether it's a scripted event or just completing main story/side quests. As for the gameplay itself, it was fun and rather enjoyable. I really enjoyed how the game switched up the genres, going from a hack and slash to a shoot em up, also playing with the camera angles of standard third person perspective to a side scroller. The exploration itself will be tied with side quests. During the start of the game, I was kind of annoyed with how much travel you had to do for essentially fetch quests, but that kind of got overshadowed with the story, the soundtrack and later on with unlocking the fast travel option. Yoko Taro, Thank you.

As a first timer into the world of dogfighting games, I was quite intimidated as I've never flown a jet in a game before. So my go-to was to pick the Standard handling type, and with that I quickly realized it was way too limited even for me. Couple hours pass as I practiced in Free Flight mode and managed to get a grasp on Expert handling and then the fun really began. As mentioned before, this is my first rodeo with jets and man did it leave an impression. This game had multiple moments where I only felt awe and I always kept wanting more. The constant feeling of being just like Tom Cruise from Top Gun was amazing (which is funny in itself because AC7 does indeed have a Top Gun collaboration). The game is graphically beautiful, handles great, after a couple of hours in, high G turns and PSM started clicking for me and it was amazing. The only real gripe I have with the game is that checkpoints in longer mission are too spaced out, leading you to sometimes lose a lot of progress. Apart from that, you should definitely try this game out, even if you're just a beginner like me. Great game.

I'm going to still recommend this game if people are particularly interested in this sort of gameplay. However as for me I decided to call it quits after Day 25. There weren't really any new mechanics introduced that would keep me engaged. The upgrades are forced onto your table, taking up even more space. I bought everything from the shop, black market and the security offices however it didn't really do anything for me. And in the end it just ended up feeling like I was playing with no clear goal in mind, just the same monotone thing day after day with no end in sight. Once again, I'm gonna recommend it if you really like the aspect of a lost and found mini-game, but it's pretty bare bones as of yet.

Despite always hearing positive things about this game, I wasn't interested in playing this game at all. Truth be told, I was never really into underwater exploration due to my fear of deep waters, but honestly it managed to reel me in rapidly (pun intended). The game has a beautiful pixel art style that eased my fears, and as soon as I booted it up I just couldn't put it down. The game does a fantastic job of having fun exploration that always keeps it fresh due to an influx of events that occur nearly every time you dive, as well as having a very good management segment during night time where you use the fish you collected inside the sushi bar and serve it to customers. One of the big reasons why I enjoyed it as much as I did is because the game is perfect for my steam deck, whenever I just want to lay in bed and play for like an hour or two. The mini-games and boss fights are very fun to play. You notice that they are all very different, taking inspirations from other games, for example you have mini-games in the style of Cooking Mama or old school shmups like R-Type. Overall, if you're a fan of exploring underwater or fancy yourself some sushi bar management with very fun mini-games this game is definitely worth the pick up.
Bonus points for the collaboration with Dredge that includes A LOT of content for free.

A hefty remake of the first act of the classic JRPG brings the iconic story to the current generation while also heavily expanding on it with some twists and turns. It was one of my first Final Fantasy games, and to this day it is one of my most memorable ones.

The entire time you are experiencing this game you constantly can't stop feeling insane mind♥♥♥♥ery. The motto that the game adapts is "Experience death from the comfort of your seat" which is oddly fitting for a game in which everything but nothing happens at the same time. Enjoy five short stories which occur in different eras and locations, touching on themes like time travel, black magic, and immortality. Do remember that you might die or you might live, but at what cost?

First off I'd like to say that this is one of my favorite STORM games. I used to play it a lot when I was a wee lad back when it came out on the Xbox 360. Having to replay it after all these years didn't feel like a chore at all, and this is mainly due to the fact that this game has the most fleshed out and enjoyable Ultimate Adventure mode out of all the STORM games in my opinion. It continues where STORM 2 left off and ends during the 4th Great Shinobi War. The story is recorded in a thing called the Ninja Timeline, where you can choose to retroactively go back and replay missions and key moments as you see fit. During exploration you can find collectibles scattered along many locations which will unlock key moments from Part 1/Early Shippuden which you can play as well. I wasn't a huge fan of the game exclusive ending but what can you do when the ending of it wasn't present in the anime at the time. Everything feels like an upgrade from the previous iteration, be it the combat, overall movement, inclusion of secret actions and fantastic boss battles although the traversal during the story is still a bit sluggish but it still feels better than having to backtrack back and forth like STORM 2. All in all, it's a must play for any Naruto/STORM fan or anyone looking for a fun arena fighter with a great story.

While I'm glad this got a HD touch up, in my honest opinion this is still one of the weakest games out of the entire STORM lineup. Clashes are still a fun mechanic but apart from that the story is virtually non-existent, although I didn't play a lot (only like an hour before I got fed up), I was stuck just exploring Konoha which got stale really fast and every mission you unlock is essentially a side quest mini-game.

A one of a kind experience. The cast are a wonderful set of characters that all had to deal with their own shares of trauma and coming to terms with loss. However to truly deal with a loss, you have to accept and let go, and that's what this visual novel is about. Great characters, beautiful pixel art, fantastic OST and a spectacular story that pulls at a lot of heart strings.

But hey, the world hasn't ended yet...
