Okay so i realize i havent made a review on either of the accounts I have this game on so im gonna make it on this one.
My main account has about 300 hours on rust and this one 850hours at the time i write this comment.

Sooo lets start out with the bad
1) The game is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you are by yourself (vanilla) modded servers make this better but at the end of the day you will probably get ganged up on by 4 people when ur farming on vanilla and get offlined. If you're new to the game i'll give you some advice to start off with. Go to /r/playrust LFG or whatever its called and find a noob friendly group that you can play with so you can learn more about the game while also having your own little team going.

2) Repetitive game: It its old much like every other game out there when you play it for a while considering how i have so many hours on the game, it got rather old and stale over time. I have recently begun to play it again pretty often due to the amount of content that the devs have added to the game.

3) Lag: This game just like a lot of others gets lag at times for what seems to be no reason this could be you rubber banding back when your internet is completely fine or your frames becoming absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of nowhere. Since my computer doesnt have the best parts out there i will just assume its because i have out of date tech on my pc.

4) "Survival": This game i really dont consider to be a survival game like a lot of people say... its more like a loot hoarding pvp game which is fine but really i just dont see it as survival. This is just a personal thing i guess

5) "Toxic community": As number 4 states, this game is pretty much a pvp loot hoarding game which means if you are a new player to a server and you just wanna make a base , RP , or whatever the hell you do, you're in for a bad time. You will be pretty much KILLED ON SIGHT by literally anyone that sees you unless you are on a server that has a rule against KOS. Now even I can agree that the community of this game is toxic. Filled with hacking korean zergs, dumb 10 year olds , and just plain out ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.. I believe they tried to counter KOS by adding a sash on your back if you have had a weapon or tool in your inventory but it seems that didnt do much of anything considering how people still KOS when you have no sash or loot on your body. People kill you just to be flat out ♥♥♥♥♥. I generally dont kill nakeds unless they are near a fight and may snag some loot or they are just pissing me off. But some people do it as a big "lol ♥♥♥♥ u naked". So yes i would say that its a toxic community (most players at least)

6) H a c k e r s: Just dont ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ go on a facepunch server please.

The Good

1) Content constantly being added and changed: Ever since i first bought this game I always thought that it was cool how the rust team was always working on stuff to be in the game. They try to add more things like new events like the boats new items and ways to get loot etc.

2) Interactions: When you arent KOS'd on rust and you talk to people its a pretty good experience and usually you will have a good time until some geared guys kill you. People in this game can usually give me a good laugh when i meet them on the beaches and ♥♥♥♥ but thats probably just because they have nothing.. once they get a spear they will shove it into ur head more than likely. If you want to have more conversation or just talk there are places like the safezones you can run to and sometimes have a decent time in if you find other people in them.

3) Pvp: When the pvp works correctly and doesnt lag its a very good experience. Every weapon you use can be something you can make a play with: a sword a spear etc all of these weapons you can kill someone geared with and snowball if you wanted to try it out.

4) Modded servers: If you are a casual player like some and dont like the constant grind and bs you have to deal with to get to top tier modded servers offer things for people like you. Rust offers 2x 3x 5x even 1000x servers that just give you a lot more than Vanilla servers do. There will be less grind but more pvp in these servers usually. Most experienced players i've talked to dont like modded including myself so if you're solo or duo and just wanna get some quick loot join a 2x or a 3x they will be more friendly if you're newer to the game.

5) Feeling: Rust gives me a feeling that most other games cant do and thats when they just make my adrenaline flow fast as hell. When you are close to the nice snowball that you've been dreaming for.. no meds all teammates dead and just one more mag and that adrenaline pumps i just love that ♥♥♥♥ it makes me hard as hell


Overall Rust for me personally is a 8 out of 10
It isnt really perfect at all with the lag and ♥♥♥♥ but it is a good game at the end of the day. The work they put into this game over the years has turned out to be in my opinion a great game.

make a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ region lock and stop this retarded ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with these chinese ♥♥♥♥ in na server

Its sad if you have 1 friend on and want to play squad but literally every match will be with some chinese ♥♥♥♥♥ even though we make sure we spam the NORTH AMERICA SERVER before we ready up. I dont give a flying ♥♥♥♥ if they have a lot of hackers in their region. I'm sick of hearing mong kong bing ling in my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ear the entire game from and watching them prone the second they get shot like idiots. Because apprently in their minds ''ehehe china numba wan stupid other chinese player shooting at me will not see me when i go prone because thats makes me invesibel eheheh china numba wannn!!!'' *gets shot in the head*

People say this is a bug where it sends u into their servers instead of what u click. ok....
if thats true MY GOD HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO FIX?

I would love it if i could get no chinese in my squad when i dont have a full team ok thanks i want someone that can understand basic english.

my god why wont you add a region lock it hurts me how much its needed but it isnt being added.

My default interface language was set to german and i have no idea what any of the menu stuff says lol

After finishing normal mode I decided to make a review.
Gonna start out with pros and cons..

Pros:
1) The game has good textures for a pixel type game
2) Combat is good especially when you're low on health with no heals during boss fight.
3) Interesting story. Even though its hard to understand what was happening a bit in the story I do often find myself thinking "why is this here" "what happened to these people..?" (seeing the skeletons) "What are these robots?" "Why is the Drifter blue?" but that isnt really a bad thing for me which is why I say its a good thing. I like using my imagination alot so yeah.
4) Fun boss fights. The bosses in this game were really fun to fight. You die a few times learn their skills...when or when not to attack with your sword...etc
5) Dungeons. If you like games with dungeons then this is a good game to check out. I liked exploring the dungeons in this world a lot.

Cons:
1) The MAP. The map confused me too much...especially when i went East where the ninja frogs were. I had a really hard time figuring out where I was due to how the map is made. Usually it shows where u are EXACTLY on the map but it doesnt in this game. AKA: When u move then check the map u dont move on the map.

Honestly the map is the only problem I had with the game. Hyper Light Drifter is worth the cash you spend on it. Its a very nice action game with good visuals for a pixel game and a good game to pass the time while having fun at the same time c:

Rate: 9/10 You should buy this game if you have a few bucks lying there! (10/10 if the map wasnt so annoying.)
