Absolutely brilliant Life Sim / RPG.
Feels like a hybrid of some of my favourite cozy games smashed into some of my favourite RPGS.
Tons of hours of crafting, exploring, levelling, fighting, growing, and generally living in another world to do.
Plenty of references from other games, puns and a beautifully addictive soundtrack wrap up a competent and competitive addition to the genre that will hopefully make Nintendo and AC take notes.

A great start.
Story is okay. Combat is good if not still relatively basic at this point in EA.
Loot is fun and rewarding.
Crafting tiers are enjoyable, but could just do with more stuff.
Skilling up and the sound effect of doing so is like CRACK. Love it!

Needs work on the Building side. Sometimes the Roofs just do NOT work despite having multiple supports on all sides and only working on one side. Not ideal to make big builds currently until fixed.

Overall. 20 or so hours at time of post to get everything done without skilling everything to its limit, this is including a full set of the final tier of armor, weapons and defeating the main boss for this initial beta period.

Pretty great and i hope they expand quickly and as deep as possible as it has huge potential!

9/10. Really loved exploring the rich and vibrant biomes. Addictive gameplay. Beautiful world design.

The storyline had me gripped with good characters and a dark story that i was genuinely invested into by the second zone.
The alchemy could be harder, but honestly i don't think it needs to be, really, as most of the options are simplified versions of what you could do in the earlier games anyway imo, just saves time.

The base building is surprisingly good and the unlocking of blueprints and finding new ways to build scratch the building game itch just enough to be more than a distraction and more of an obsession.

All in all, solid game. Much prefer it to the older Atelier games to my surprise and would love to see what they do next if this is the formula they are working with.

Feels like i am playing a movie, but this time thats not a bad thing!
First person whip cracking, fascist punching, puzzle solving fun.
It's more open world than i expected, with a linear main storyline, but big open areas with plenty to explore, multiple puzzles and activities with voice acting / cutscenes.
Honestly might be the best Movie Tie-In game i have ever played. Brilliant.

One of the best RPG's of 2024.

Game-play = 9/10
A surprisingly deep and rewarding combat system with up to 40 playable classes (not including non-vesseled).
Plenty of ways to customise your group to your own play-style and a addictive monster deleting cycle, adding monster abilities to your own characters skill-set with the use of core-stones.

Story = 8.5/10
Personally enjoyed the twists and turns in the story, with much of the English voice acting being a lot better than i expected.

Replayability = 8/10
Plenty of post credits game storyline too!
Including an additional difficulty level and New Game Plus beyond that!

Music = 10/10
I mean, it's a Square Enix game. The music is fantastic.

Summary :
Probably the best RPG of 2024. It scratches the nostalgic itches you have been looking for if you loved the older games in the series, yet rewards new players alike with challenge, fantastic visuals and a deep experience in customising how battle plays out depending on how far you delve into it, yet not hurting you if you elect to not dabble too much.
An engaging series of open world activities with actual rewards that are useful and fun to collect, plenty of side quests and memorable locations, dungeons and boss fights.

Feels like we are back in the 90's and it feels good :)
Amazing Game. We need more like this!

If Diablo 4 was a good game, it would be this. Path of Exile with a touch of friendliness, yet still with the depth to let you be as broken and fun as you like. Brilliant.

Captured a man. Named him Dave. Took Dave on a killing spree against the camp i found him in. Captured one of his friends and sold him on the black market to a weird man in a cave, then used a butchers cleaver on Dave. Fed Dave's remains to my pals. 10/10

Very much Enjoyed every minute of it.
The first experience of this franchise has been the Movie, which i really enjoyed, and wanted to try the games.
Overall, it was very good. There are some interesting bugs, but most of them were just funny rather than broken. Silly things like Freddy dissapearing under a floor or spawn-in bugs, nothing too bad.
Fun gameplay, great soundtrack, lovely visuals. Excellent dip of my toe into the franchise!

I'm glad i chose to try this one out first, it made the series much more approachable for someone like me.
Also Roxanne is the best animatronic. lol

Next up is the Ruin dlc then i might try Help Wanted since i have a VR headset thats gathering dust.
