If you look at this game as an action adventure game with a linear story set within an open world, it’s great. The story, characters and missions are awesome and enjoyable.

However, when you remember this was supposed to be an RPG, and start to look closer in this open world you can’t help but feel disappointed and longing for what could have been. Some examples;

- Your Lifepath doesn’t really matter?
After the first 30 mins that’s it. Apart from the odd dialogue choice it makes absolutely no difference what your lifepath was as everything is linear

- What AI?
The NPC’s viewed from afar are fine, but don’t get any closer and try to interact with them or see anything unique because that’s just not going to end well. They don’t have any meaningful routines at all. The way the cars are being driven around are pretty poor.

- Police and Wanted system?
No matter where you commit a crime, no matter how secluded, a cop will spawn behind you. That’s it really, they can’t drive, won’t travel to find you, they just pop up out of nothing. Think killing them will help? Nope, more and more will spawn until you run away and then that’s it crime forgotten.

To summarise, if you want an action/adventure game set in an open world that you aren’t really interested in fully exploring, go for it, you’ll love it. But if you want a fully fledged RPG where your characters backstory matters? Nah don’t get it you’ll be disappointed.

Now that I have played for longer, I do have to say the story is awesome and I am seriously loving it
