When I look at people's faces, I get distracted by how ugly they are. The wrinkles on the skin, the nose in the middle of nowhere that looks like a mountain in a desert, the eyes which are liquid, moving balls that would probably feel just like the fish eyes I would poke at the supermarket, how my memory is going to capture this face and replay it when I'm sleeping so I'll have to see this person even in my dreams. And I don't really hear what people are saying because all that stuff is distracting, so I have to look away in order to concentrate and then I look autistic even though that's less autistic than over-thinking someone's face.
