I don't know why it's taken me so long to review XCOM 2. It's just a really really really good game that you can always return to. The base game is great with good replayability, but the main replayability comes from all the mods and community content that exists adding so much variety and customisation. I highly recommend picking this up and modding it for hundreds of hours of fun!
