When you have to use a big marketing budget to sell your product, you know what you have isn't good.

Bioshit: Binfinite looked so promising. What happened?

Some sort of internal political battle?
an issue with the corporates?
Convincing people to buy because ken levine had something to do with it?

Probably a mix of the 3, and more. After all, I endured the torture of Infinite. My love for the previous 3 gave me hope that "Maybe there is some substance here?"

Development is an iterative process - irrational have now had 4 tried to perfect their vision. With this, one sits and wonders, seriously - what the ♥♥♥♥ happened to this one?

The open, free world that is expected is no more. You are inside a hand holding simulator. You go from A to B - there is no creativity in how you complete tasks and progress. No mood. No tone. Just a marketing campaign apparently.

Perhaps kens team got too big and the ability to create a living being was lost when the budget hit many millions. It looks like it was too big of a project, to make anything good.

I'm looking forward to their next work, as a smaller more focussed team.
