Character Loadouts
Better than the first game (way more options), but less realistic (insurgents [not just the Advisers]] have access to some present-day US and NATO weapons).

Graphics
Fine. Make sure to turn the post processing effects down, otherwise it looks fuzzy. There is a bit of a stylistic change from the first game, as everything is a bit more cartoony (almost shell-shaded), rather than realistic.

Performance
Oof. In order to get a mostly smooth experience, you need to target ~200fps, as even at high frame rates, it stutters. (110fps feels like 50fps) Even at 200fps, there is still noticeable stuttering. (I have an RTX 2060 and Ryzen 5 3600).

Gameplay
Good. Generally, people work as a team less, as there is more space, so people aren't forced into teamwork. This version is slightly closer to Battlefield (E.G. wide open maps with people playing solo, supports) than the previous game, but it still feels like insurgency. Personally, I think the actual infantry combat was better in the previous game, but this is good too.

Nighttime Gameplay
Phenomenal (and way better than the previous game). I added this in a separate section because of how good it is.

Level Design
Better than the first game. Larger maps, and fewer stalemates. Unlike the first game, there don't seem to be any maps the community universally hates.

Sound Design
Very good (just like the first game). Gunshots will make you afraid of death.

Overall
Different from the Source Version, but still a great game. You can't go wrong with either at $15.
