I’m not sure if Star Wars games are just bad these days, or if this one is genuinely good—probably a bit of both. Either way, this game is an all-around great Star Wars adventure, and most importantly, it’s just plain fun to play. Of course, it can't be compared to the quality of narrative of the old Star Wars games from Lucasfilm Games, but that's a completely different story.

And yes, it's like Dark Souls but Star... ehh do I need to type this? Everything is souls-like these days anyway.

Probably the best multiplayer game from the Star Wars universe. The campaign isn't worth the price – it's below average with Disney's SW agenda. However, the multiplayer is great and really worth buying, mainly thanks to its great gameplay and gamemodes. The only downside is that the developers have completely abandoned any support, so you'll occasionally encounter cheaters, which is made worse by the fact that the game doesn't even have a server browser. However, the community has a solution to this problem (asusual these days), and with the KYBER and Battlefront + mods you've got one the best Star Wars multiplayer experience.

RTS tactical strategy from a small indie studio.

+ 20+ campaign missions with attack, defense, and stealth objectives.
+ Great unit variety for both Federation and bugs.
+ Tactical combat where bugs have always the upper hand – success depends on smart positioning, unit synergy, and terrain. Units coordinate movement (one covers, one retreats) and must use elevation and line-of-sight to their advantage.
+ Units can gain veteran status and unlock unique upgrades, adding further strategic depth.
+ Functional transport system for replenishing units and quick movement.
+ Mod-friendly with Steam Workshop support and a mission editor.
+ Clear UI and beautiful cutscenes.

- Story closely follows the first film; little originality from the book.
- No skirmish, multiplayer or co-op(Territory mode is planned).
- Some unit abilities are rarely used.

The story is a clear copy of the first Starship Troopers movie based on Verhoeven's narrative, with additional units (mechs) from ST3. It's a shame that the developers didn't try to be a bit more unique in this regard and didn't touch the book's source material. Then there wouldn't have been so many ridiculous twists, like for example: the Federation leaves its own soldiers at the mercy of bugs as human shields etc. The choice of a film adaptation is logical, since that's what most people are familiar with, but I still stand by my opinion that it's wasted potential in that regard.

+ Great campaign, also playable in co-op mode.
+ Fast-paced and fun old-school multiplayer.
+ Full mod support and steam worshop.
+ Very low price for how many games and content you will get.
+ Halo: CE and Halo 2 include a freely switchable remaster edition during gameplay, which is by itself a very cool feature and nice bonus.

Perfect for someone who has never played Halo in their life because they've never owned an Xbox. Master Chief Collection is probably one of the best deals on Steam and should definitely not be missing in your library.

Kreslená akční adventura od francouzského mladého indie vývojáře. Pokud vám chybí časy typických PS2 her, tak je tohle přesně pro vás. Pumpkin Jack je klasický "hack and slash" platformer, určený spíše pro mladší hráče, ale přece jenom pobaví i starší generaci. Je to taková ta ideální hra na sychravé podzimní večery, kdy potřebujete jednoduše vypnout. Rozhodně vás však překvapí svým nádherným vizuálem, a především perfektní hudbou, která tak dokonale podtrhuje atmosféru hry. Jakožto projekt jednoho vývojáře, můžu jedině doporučit.

Verdun je hra, kterou vlastním už poměrně dlouho, a za tu dobu bych ji už mnohokrát hodnotil velice záporně, vždy ji však pro mě drželi nad vodou její vývojáři, a jejich přístup a spolupráce s komunitou. Avšak teprve teď, po těch letech, můžu s klidným srdcem říci, že ji doporučuji. Dřívější problémy jsou pryč. Hra mi už běží krásně plynule na 60 FPS, na ultra nastavení, na bugy jsem za posledních 15 hodin nenarazil, a navíc mě i velice potěšilo 64 hráčů na serveru, oproti minulému limitu pouhých 32. Mrzí mě ovšem to, že svým prvním dojmem ztratili značnou část komunity, která se už do hry vrátit nechce. Častokrát tak volná místa nahradí boti a umělá inteligence. Na druhou stranu má Verdun stále velice dobrou, byť malou, ale aktivní, a především loajální komunitu. Mnohokrát se mi tak stalo, že jsem ve hře potkal několikrát ty stejné lidi, se kterými jsem hrál předevčírem. Snad jednou komunita okolo Verdunu početně vzroste. Jakožto jediná PC multiplayerová střílečka z 1. Světové války si to rozhodně zaslouží.
