Don’t know if the 1,5 years between the release and when I actually got to playing this game had an effect on my opinion of the game. But having worried if I will lose my money buying a game with known performance issues and the fact that EA hasn’t really done much to address it, really made me judge it more harshly.

I completed the main storyline in little less than 20 hours, and I sure didn’t feel the need to explore the world looking for cosmetics. Everything from level design to combat to the story was mediocre. Nothing bugged me too much (or maybe the rhino enemies’ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ death animations did), but I also didn’t feel the joy of being a jedi like I remember feeling in the first game.

Or maybe I’m just old and have played too many great games, that mediocre just doesn’t do it for me anymore.

Either way, I don’t think you should feel too bad if the game doesn’t run on your computer.

I am only writing this review because recent reviews being “Mixed” is downright injustice.

Mortal Shell is a nice souls-like game with it’s biggest downfall being the fact that it is too short. It does many things well and is different enough to stand on it’s own legs.

Yes, the world is small. There is not much story to go on. And it even manages to repeat itself during the 10+ hours it takes to complete it. But I still had fun playing it.

I would even count Mortal Shell’s simplicity as a positive aspect. For once you don’t have to constantly be on a lookout for better weapons or armor. All you need to worry about is kill enemies or be killed.

Mortal Shell is a great entry level souls-like game. Here’s hoping a possible sequel would be a bit more ambitious.

Fun. Innovative. Well Designed… And criminally underrated.
Last time I had this much fun with 1,50 € was when I bought a lottery ticket, won 10 000 and spent it all on cocaine and hookers.

The first two "levels" of The Room 3 annoyed me for some reason. I did not enjoy some of the puzzles, which also were way too easy. However in The Forge I found myself enjoying the rest of the game very much, and it continued the rest of the way. To me alternate endings in this kind of game just don't work. I just could not care less.

But overall a positive experience. Would recommend / 5.

The latest and best instalment of a very enjoyable series. Really enjoyed the dollhouse concept. Puzzles were logical and fun. Not really much bad to say! Hoping there will be more.
