Capcom has done it again with yet another masterpiece of a remake. Where do I even start my praises? Almost all elements of horror that were absent in the original game has been successfully resurrected in moments fans of the original would least expect. No joke, I spent majority of the time walking at Leon's default speed rather than a full-on sprint because of how atmospheric the environment is and not knowing what lurks around the next corner.

The RE Engine excels in oozing the style and graphics for this reimagined RE:4 storyline. From characters to enemies to animals and treasures, every single asset in this remake is a remarkable sight to behold. Gameplay-wise the Ganados are relentless compared to the original, they will rush you and outnumber you fast especially on higher difficulties. Veterans of the original should definitely start your first fresh run on Hardcore for the best experience.

Also, this remake takes nothing from the original. A lot of hardcore fans, myself included, would still recommend any newcomer to play the original just to appreciate this remake that much more. Sure most of the elements are dated especially the tank controls, but it's a game everyone should experience at least once in their lives. After all, the original Resident Evil 4 did set the stage for future over-the-shoulder third-person games that come after it.

Overall, I am completely satisfied with how this remake is handled by Capcom's Dev 1 team and I cannot wait to see what Resident Evil title they work on next. Whatever it is, they have my full support all the way. Now then, bring on The Mercenaries update!
