This game's pretty neat, and Rambley the Raccoon is a fun companion to have. Writing is pretty good too, even if it's mostly carried by Rambley's dialogue (which makes sense from a character named Rambley).

Although, I feel like some of the horror in this is a bit... Understated, I guess? I felt tense in some parts, but it was mostly superficial. A lot of moments felt anti-climactic, and some set-pieces and puzzles I was a little disappointed by, but I'm sure that will all improve as each chapter releases.

Mollie's chase sequence was also pretty... Bland, since you're pretty ahead of her most of the time so you can just BARELY hear her. And that game-over-screen hint about her "talking" tricking you is kinda made mute when you're in a linear chase sequence. It probably would've been better if there were multiple branching paths, and she spoke in the one you can't go through, eventually talking as Rambley late into the chase to trick you.

Other than those few gripes, I'd give this a solid 7.5/10. It's fairly enjoyable for the short playtime it has. (And it has Rambley. Seriously, I love him.)


Side note: Can I just say that is absolutely wild to see an indie horror jumpscare that actually shows the MC dying? Like, damn! You don't see that in these types of games anymore.
