Regardless, I wouldn't overvalue these activities myself. Commenting, compiling playlists, reviews even. All of it should just be different kinds of support for the creator of the original work. Not that complicated, nothing to write home about. So I prefer not to make a big deal out of it. Some would even call it piggybacking off of the original work, and I agree with that to an extent.
Still, I do believe it has some positive impact so I'll continue doing it. Simply ordering things neatly and telling other people about my feelings towards music is something I genuinely like doing, though ocassionally and spontaneously.
Hopefully my attitude of "hey, you've worked hard enough, go take a break on the weekends, play some game" goes away, and I can actually return to my hobbies x)
Thinking that life and other hobbies should be also prioritized, staring the same pixel array may not be the most rewarding way to spend living hours. I have tried to quit ponies multiple times, but every time I find myself back to some corner of the fandom, because after all, it's what I enjoy. So it can be a good thing that life and hobbies gets on the way, so one can revalue the hobbies.
Can agree to the will to help the fandom to keep producing its art. Even though our comments are only a little things compared to the artist's effort, the discussion is the part of the appeal. On the comment section there's encouraging words, familiar faces, and also team spirit. This intensifies feelings and creates a memorable footprint on the music/art in the question. That is
the soul we are all after. So the comments are more than just feedback to the artists, it also makes it alive, and creates the appeal for us the audience
Don't even know how to properly respond to that.
I'm very much glad someone finds at least some use in the stuff I leave on my profiles or in my comments. I do try to support quality brony works as much as I can, though in the last year or so, because of work (and general laziness), I can barely keep up with my subscriptions even. Had to put most my hobbies on hold, that includes updating the themed music playlists and other stuff.
However, hearing kind words like these does motivate me to come back to it eventually.
Maybe it'll be rather sooner than later, because I do have kinda big plans for this thing...
Anyway, thank you so much for your comment!
Did definitely make my day a lot better. Hopefully, it'll be a better day for you as well :)
Thanks for encouraging to leave a comment in your profile, I probably would not have revealed this otherwise :D
