This game is my addiction.

I make games for a living, so problem solving on my free time sound like hell. But more than any other game, this game gives me that "just 5 more minutes" feeling over and over until it's 5 AM. Maybe because things are difficult enough that makes me feel like I accomplished something when it works, but easy enough for me not to give up.

I don't have that many hours in this game just because of sheer discipline. If not for that, I would hardly play anything else.

It's even better with a friend on multiplayer.

10/10

NO SPOILERS: I'm generally one to enjoy artsy games, but the story and themes of this one did nothing for me. Reading the reviews, I'm surely in the minority, but the story felt very forced in its pursuit to make me feel sad, and it wasn't effective to me. I felt like I had just watched an average movie student final project, very eager to make me feel things, but not sure why or how. The blinking mechanic was interesting though.

SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT.

  • KATANAS!
  • SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT. SUPER HOT.

I really like "interactive stories" games, and with Dear Esther being a highly acclaimed game of said genre, loving Dear Esther seemed like a no brainer for me. But unfortuntely, that never really happened. I tried to understand why a game that seemed to have been made for me ended up being such a disapointment. In further analysis, one point that sticked was that trough my whole playtrough, it seemed like the game was building up to "the good part". Don't get me wrong, I didn't expect and or want Dear Esther to be anything like an action game or something, I expected and wanted it to be a game telling an interesting story and confusing story, but at every second of my playtrough the game always felt like it was building up to something. That something eventually appeared, but it's tenure was too quick and the "something" was not very interesting. Of course, there are good things in the game, specially in the visuals part, (some scenaries were absolutely gorgeous) but unfortunately, the bad outdoes the good in this game for me.

Maybe I expected something too different from Dear Esther from what it actually is, maybe it wasn't made for me to like, but regardless, it didn't do it for me.

Awesome idea, not so awesome execution. Uplink surely is a fun game and has it's moments (succesfully hacking your first computer for example), but unfortunately it gets repetitive way too quickly for it's own good. After you've done some missions you'll probably have a déja vu felling, only that this time you've really seen it before, making you feel bored with the game far too quickly.

"Classics never get old". The original Half-Life was and IS one of the best games ever made thanks to the holy grail of gaming: engaging story and great gameplay. Telling the story of the Black Mesa Incident and it's aftermath trough the eyes of theorical psysicist Dr. Gordon Freeman, Valve's launch title revolutionizes the FPS genre focusing on story without sacrificing gameplay in a way few games have ever come close.

GREAT! Fast-pacing, high-adrenaline game. While the story and characters may look a bit bland, the gameplay is FANTASTIC! Highly recommend this title.

First things first: this game takes a LOT longer to beat than the original Portal, and yet, it doesn't dissapoint at any time. From the very cinematic beggining to the clever and funny end music, Portal 2 is a MASTERPIECE. And I even dare to say, it surpasses the original. As soon as you start to play it you'll start to think of the first Portal as a prototype to this game.

HILARIOUS! Either if you played the original or you're a "Special Edition starter", YOU'LL LOVE THIS GAME! You'll laugh at every line and twist of the game. Cult AND Gaming Masterpiece! But I must warn, although not necessary, if you want the full experience, play the first game (The Secret of Monkey Island) first. One of my favorite games ever.
