the loneliness and resource gathering aspects of it i find therapeutic. i've yet to get bored of the planet type variance. i haven't finished the story yet - and i like that the game doesn't pressure me to. but i really love the mystery, so far. having to learn words of languages is a nice touch. the worldbuilding is great and i like that things you encounter randomly throughout the worlds enrich it, it's not just limited to the main quests.

i also really appreciate that it lets you play it however you want to, with multiple modes available and the ability to set certain aspects to be as easy or as hard as you like. it's really accessible. and it's nice that i have a variance of activities available if i'm sick of doing one particular thing.
