Ark in either Evolved or Ascended guise are fantastic games . Between both versions i have over 8,000 hours play time ....

If you have never played ARK before then ascended is the one for you , sure there are some paid DLC all of which add some great content btw . But even at full price the sheer amount of game is astounding value with at time of review 4 official maps Lots of MOD maps and so much content to go at .

The remastered game looks incredible but is a system hog so beware with lower end / older rigs .

Multiplayer there are Lots of official servers with various playstyles and a ton of players , the game really shines on the unofficial servers with private Admin and Lots of mods to choose from QOL changes , Whole MAps , Game conversions . PvP servers kicking off and ARKS unique PVP Dino base defence FPS Still delivers the goods .

So in short Jump onboard lots of free content still to come in the next year with the Genesis 1 and 2 maps ( Gen 2 btw is a masterpiece of map design ) get your ARK ON before the release OF ARK 2 .

Eternal crusade is a fraction of the game I was expecting when I bought a founders pack years ago . The open world 40k mmoshooter (ala planetside 2) never came to fruition .

What you will get is a clunky 3rd person shooter , with limited and terribly designed maps , Vehicle play on shoebox maps ( why bother) ,horrible camera angles , piss poor physics and repetative gameplay . The 4 races at the games inception are still a way off, leaving players fighting marines vs marines with horns and very little else to differentiate the 2 current races .

Behaviours progress is snail paced with there weekly updates a total waste of time , consisting of maybe peek at a minor upcoming change and half a hour of the same clowns playing the same 4 maps over and over ... seriously it would be more entertaining and less painfull to take up cutting yourself for entertainment .

Not to mention at £32, basicly the price of fully realised AAA title this game is a total rip off . Save your money and don't pay to Alpha test this crap .

Just play Shogun 2 more and save 30 quid .

The best survival game I've played also the best early access game I've played , 7 days is super polished with a full destructable world and huge amount of crafting options that simply "make sence " and works exremely well .

8/10 as it stands ( needs more zombies on later dificulty settings )

Stay tuned this thing improves every update .

Grab it in a sale and smash some faces .

Still worth a play if a little grindy to get new gear anymore , slow paced mele combat with bone crunching kills .
