NieR: Automata reminds us once again that a video game is another platform that provides a highest form of entertainment. This game has something special that only a handful of games have been able to carry out. Starting from the entrancing soundtrack that plays an important role setting up the presentation, the intelligent design in combat sequences, the voice acting, the diverging plotlines that gives it a compelling narrative, the level of storytelling that puts other AAA games to shame, and it has its own unique way of questioning humanity in a deeper philosophical sense. It makes us validate at what defines humanity looking at it from a different angle. Moreover, the game poignantly tackles the topic of existential crisis. It also makes you care about the characters; in some cases, you'll find yourself sympathizing with the others that your missions describe them as your enemies right from the beginning.

NieR: Automata succeeds far and beyond what I expected in both gameplay and story. It is eternally embedded as one of the most memorable experiences in my gaming life. Easily becomes one of my top favorite games of all-time. It's high up there along with The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and Mass Effect 2. It simply transcends its medium and as a result, in my opinion, it easily becomes a masterpiece in every aspect. Apotheosis is my favorite word and this game, NieR: Automata, undeniably aims for it. Last, thank you Yoko Taro and Platinum Games for a remarkable and lasting experience. My only regret about this game is that I cannot erase it in my memory, so I can play it again for the first time.
