This game randomly got my attention as it's being bundles with Selaco which I was already consider buying.
I tried the Demo of it and got instantly hooked. Now just over the past 3 days, I spend my time playing this game to 100%. I enjoyed every second of it.
The gunplay feels absolutely amazing. Every weapon is unique and shooting enemies give you a lot of satisfaction. The movement is absolutely amazing. It's very easy to learn and mastering doesn't take too much. Obviously, having experience from other fast paced shooter helps a lot, but I'd say you can get into it even without the experience just by playing it.

But it also comes to say that there's a LOT happening during battles. The game has many options to increase accessibility, but surely if you're having issues with motion sickness or get easily overwhelmed by high speed and masses of enemies, it may not be for you. But that's fine. If you're an enjoyer of Fast paced shooters combined with Plattformer elements (f.e. games like DOOM: Eternal), then this is what you're looking for.

I'm very excited to see what the devs have planned for the future as they're already teasing additional content. I can't wait.

Early Access Review
Okay so far I've only played around 3h and got already many good impressions about Ziggurat 2. I played Ziggurat 1 quite a lot when it was free on GOG and had a lot of fun with that game. In Ziggurat 2, there are some major changes of the overall system behind rewards and progression in a way that I persoanlly really like.
There is a campaign mode in which you basically pick one of a few dungeons to go into with a view of the rewards you get when you complete this dungeon. After that you can select unlocked weapons and artifacts which gives you an advantage at the beginning but decreases the coin drop rate. Coins can be dropped by enemies after defeating them and can be used to either buy helpful items inside the dungeon or to upgrade your heroes or weapons in the main menu. This gives you the feeling of more progression besides the fact that you also unlock more spells and weapons during your runs. So the more you play, the more you unlock and also the stronger you get.
If you're not a fan of this new system, you can easly play the game like it was back in Ziggurat 1 when you just start with the wand and without permanent weapon upgrades. Also with the last updates they included an infinite dungeon which is also pretty nice.
I bought the game just a few weeks ago and I see that they're really fast adding new content and features to this game. The game already offers a lot of content which I haven't seen much right now because I'm still at the beginning but I'm sure there is more to see for me when I go on. After all of this, it still plays and feel like Ziggurat 1 with more content and a better feeling of progression.
From a technical standpoint it's no doubt that this game has improved it's look and design to something more beautiful while keeping the artstyle as it was in Ziggurat 1. The game runs fine on my RTX 3080 with mostly 144FPS in 1080p even tho I get quite some framedrops when going from one room to the other or when the battle gets a bit too extreme. The overall gameplay don't suffers from this but I think there is still some room for optimizations. From the settings, you can turn the graphics down in a neat overview of settings. But I'm sure this should run on an average PC with some settings and effects turned down.
So after this little overview, I must say that this is currently going to be a great successor to Ziggurat 1 which has still room for more content. But as an Early Access game, there should be no doubt that this is going to happen. And even in it's current state I prefer this game over Ziggurat 1.

Sit down and enjoy this game. it's short, but worth it. There's no challenge, no time limit, no enemies. Have fun!

Many years ago a friend told me about a free Minecraft version, also called "Minecraft Classics" at that time. Anyone who had created an account could play it for free. Minecraft Classics lived off an extremely large community and server, packed with add-ons and many features. Game worlds and buildings that had months or years of work in them and became bigger and bigger. I myself had invested a lot of time in Minecraft Classics. I was always looking for new servers and found a community where I felt comfortable. I met people with whom I still have some contact today and who also visited me. All thanks to an older, free version of Minecraft.
About 7 years later I came across this game. I was just looking at Google for a result on what happened to Minecraft Classics. In a video someone introduced ClassiCube and showed what it's all about. Already the first seconds of gameplay clearly showed the structure of Minecraft Classics. But I wasn't really enthusiastic, for whatever reason. I finished my search for now. But a few days ago I found the game on Steam again. I was curious and finally downloaded it.
So I created my account and searched directly for a server. And at the very moment when I took my first steps, the feeling of Minecraft Classics came back. Almost exactly 1:1 like then. I wrote to a friend from the community I was telling you about so he could have a look at the game. He was also impressed. All those memories came back and it was a nice experience.

It all sounds pretty exaggerated now, but I think veterans of the old days can understand how I felt. I want to thank the developers. For having managed to reawaken the same experience in me. I think I'm going to spend a long time in this game now.
