Okay so, lets preface this by saying I pre-ordered the game and did play at launch.

No Man's Sky is a game that generated a lot of hype and REALLY failed to deliver. AT LAUNCH. The game has taken many strides to improve and while it is by no means perfect at all, it's still a damn good game. I can't wait to see what more is in store for this game.

TWO YEARS AFTER REVIEW EDIT:
No Man's Sky still continues to impress me, now with multiplayer and a deep and interesting story, the game is better than ever. I'm continually awestruck by Hello Games and I am SO excited for future updates.

TWO YEARS AFTER REVIEW EDIT EDIT:
Hello Games continues to impress. With community driven updates adding so much more content to the game every single time, I can't imagine the lifespan of this game ending any time in the next 5 years. Every new major update feels like a full sized DLC that i'd pay money for, but free. The devs behind this game are one of the most passionate bunch of people i've ever seen, and it shows in the game.

TWO YEARS AFTER REVIEW EDIT EDIT EDIT:
Though my playtime has dropped over the past couple years, every time I launch this game i'm still filled with the awe and praise I have found myself staying in since. Every update brings so much content it takes me weeks of play to find everything, and that's if i'm being quick about it. The game is good, simple as that. And it's more than worth your money if you're still deciding whether or not to grab it up.
