I played through most of the game and the only puzzling part was how to make the game respond. The controls are incredibly janky so the most time is spent trying to execute the obvious solutions.

The story and graphics are pleasant but this was supposed to be a game.

This is an odd one. There's clearly a lot of work behind some aspects of this game, like worldbuilding, writing and even wildlife animations, but the gameplay itself is the most half-assed repetitive survival crap I've ever seen. Getting a refund.

Good fun! Plays well with a keyboard too. Not actually buggy, except once I saw Keanu crash through a mountain and disappear into the void. That was radical.

Surprisingly realistic and immersive game. Really unique. Not as difficult as some reviews say, unless you choose to make it so.

You have to upload every demo to the Skybox website and then download it again to watch it. You can only have 5 demos at once on a free account, so you can't even do them in a batch to ease the process. Premium subscription raises the limit to 50 demos. You can't do this in the client either, so you need to use the website.

It does work fine once you have a demo loaded.

edit: Changed to thumbs up cause apparently I've kept using it. It's still way better than the ingame demo viewer, even though loading demos is annoying and weird.

Early Access Review
Lovely chill game. It has more variety than Carcassonne, so sometimes you're banking on a specific tile that never comes up in hundreds of turns. But you can actually link unmatching tiles at the cost of bonus points. So it has some big differences to Carcassonne, but overall it's fairly similar.

Not much of a simulation. Nothing drastic ever happens on its own. You mostly just look up which plants fit together, plant them manually and evolve needed traits manually. Then the game crashes and you lose progress.

This game is already godlike, but you need to try Elma Online - a community-made patch where you can compete against the best players in various battlemodes, make your own levels and watch others battle in them and much more. The patch is available in the workshop.

It's nice to finally have Elma on Steam for publicity, but the community has been active hidden under a rock for 20 years. There's a crazy amount of content out there.

Controls are broken. Your aim locks to the nearest ball and stutters uncontrollably. You're supposed to aim at moving balls with this and it's just not possible without trying random moves over and over. There's an option to disable the aimlock but it doesn't work.

Satisfying puzzles. Plenty of thought behind level design, some of it is really clever. Most levels are solvable from the start, but sometimes the perfect solution is over 20 moves and I needed some trial and error.
