The succession laws are killer, for example I had all of England, Scotland, and wales: but not enough prestige to make an empire. So I lost all the kingdoms except England and all my counties except one. This happens until you get the tech around 1200 Ad or you play the byzantine empire who has the single heir law ( just don't form the roman empire to early or you lose the law and you will lose one empire title minimum and all your counties except one.) This is my main issue with the game, it just makes i wouldn't mind this but it effectively makes you the weakest person in your own kingdom/empire every time your character dies. the other issue with this game that affects my first point is every one is having kids like bunnies its crazy in 100 years my dynasty had 1200 family members alive and 7 cadet branches.
Other then this major issue the game is alright events are repetitve once every year (get invited to a feast every month), battles come down to number of men in your army even if you have terrain and a better general it just doesn't make up for combat width.
