I never really played PS1/N64 platformers so I don't really have nostalgia for them.

That said, this is very polished, very charming PS1 looking platformer. Everything feels so smooth to traverse, the verticality in level design is great and the level of control I have over Sybil's (the player character) movements feels precise. It's a joy to chain movement techniques together.

This game has an easy to learn, hard to master difficulty curve and overall it works pretty well. The level design plays into this such that the player constantly asks "how do I get over there?" which encourages exploration and parkouring.

This is well worth your money and time. It's very fun, very pretty, relatively short, the music is nice (very good ambient tracks, some of them are bangers in terms of beat) and Sybil is hot.

I came for the tall kickass goat-bunny lady, stayed for the fun gameplay (and also the tall-kickass-goat-bunny-lady...)

9/10 Only complaint is the lack of an in game map which causes a fair amount of backtracking.

Early Access Review
This was a platform with so much well-executed potential that ultimately got squandered and killed off by cryptochud greed and holding the main developer hostage. (♥♥♥♥ you Karel Hulec).

Thankfully the original developers and community have moved on to the spiritual successor of this that is 100% crypto free.

Give your money to YDMS instead of Solirax. You know what to do.

I'll see you on the new platform.

INFRA 9/10

An absolutely fantastic, cerebral exploration/puzzle/gun-free linear adventure game made in the Source engine (at 1/4th scale to get the huge levels!). I got sucked into it hard for how well detailed the world is (like ImSim levels of detail), a really stellar ambient soundtrack ([spoilers]Walter's Office[/spoilers] is probably one of my favorite tracks from the soundtrack) and the level of intrigue and urban exploration I could do in it. In my play through, I sunk 46 hours into it (some of that time was reloading saves to explore some alternate paths). I still haven't 100%'d it, a friend of mine ran through it twice to see more detail.

I highly recommend doing what I did and stretch the game over several months. It's very much a let it stew kind of game instead of binging it I feel.

Like this game took the melancholic, exploration desire that you typically get from a source engine game (e.g. think of exploring the coast/highway 17 in HL2) and just ran with it most of the run time. The game still has some dry levity to it.

Only gripes are that the game can really lock you out of backtracking. So if you missed an area of intrigue or photographable spot because you got locked into a one way loading area/event then you either have to save scum back (limited save slots) or start a new game (which can be very painful since this game is long). You start to get wise to this though and can see a one-way segment if you pay attention (the level design tends to telegraph it well enough). This is somewhat to it's merit though as the game does teach you to be slow and methodical most of the time (when you're not in a on rails or timed event which is rare). Additionally to it's benefit, this game is pretty replayable for what alternate paths you can unlock depending upon your actions.

The story of the game is pretty good, nice reveals, alot of cool intrigue. A well built/imagined world.

There are a lot of secrets to this game, even an ARG that's still active with DLC on the way (Whiprock when Loiste?). I got an a-hah moment when I stumbled into one segment of the ARG by complete happenstance while exploring (the morse code VHS tape in the metro station).

*camera snap* "Someone should get that fixed..."

Tough as hell, I think I broke my keyboard
But I'm happy / crying that I played it and got the happy ending.

Puro is a good boy.

Very few games do procedural generation and rogue-like elements well while still being fun and engaging.

FTL is a labor of love from the graphics, to the music, to the varience of gameplay. You'll get many more hours out of this wonderful $10 game than most AAA games.
