There's a lot to like here, and it has a lot of promise, but in its mechanics it still feels like early access. Your character feels floaty and odd to control, the camera feels a bit too zoomed out, and the art style is colorful, but still somehow feels very generic even with all the cultural references. I might come back after a few patches, and I will keep an eye on this developer, but at present to me it's not worth it unless you specifically want a story about this subject matter.

I will say though, the opening got me good emotionally.

I am buying anything Daniel Mullins makes for the foreseeable future.

Starts out with a peaceful, bittersweet theme and a meditative gameplay loop. This might end up scratching the itch that Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley never did somehow. By the time you're midway through the game or so it's a series of punches to the emotional gut. Gorgeous.

if you like fascism don't play this game. don't play any game. kill yourself and play fascist games in your weird fascist valhalla. please die as soon as possible.

this game is pretty good.
