For the price, Post Void is a steal and comes in at a solid 9/10 for me.

If you enjoy fast paced arcade shooters, this hits the spot. It's pretty short content-wise, but it's the kind of game you could sink hours into if you're interested in leaderboard placement. It's just challenging enough to remain super fun but not become frustrating.

The visuals? Beautifully brutal.
The music? Adrenaline inducing.
The gunplay? Satisfying as hell.

Post Void gets the blood pumping.

Early Access Review
Despite being in early access, Risk of Rain 2 is already feeling like a solid game.

Feels surprisingly well balanced and scales well as you play, too. Depending on your item RNG you can end up with some pretty busted builds going on, but it still doesn't ever seem to feel like you can just cheese everything constantly, especially as you advance into the later stages.

Items stack when you get duplicates, so if you get three energy drinks, your sprint bonus will scale based on all three. Whether or not it's a flat 3x multiplier in that case, I'm not sure, but I have to wonder whether there's a limit on that kind of thing.

In terms of character choice, you start out with the Commando, and have to unlock the others by completing certain objectives. I've only unlocked the Commando and Huntress so far, both of which seem to be really good, but I'm not sure that many people will stick with the Commando as it does seem like at least the huntress is a straight upgrade save for the Commando having a stun ability.

Art direction is 10/10, they did an amazing job of translating the game from 2D pixel graphics to 3D while still managing to keep the feel of the art direction faithful, mostly through keeping things simple and using the same kind of colour palettes.

Great soundtrack like the original, every stage's soundtrack fits it perfectly.

I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Risk of Rain, and definitely to anyone who is looking for a good co-op experience.

A short and sweet RPG with a lovely self-contained story that has just enough depth to it to make me feel invested in what's happening. Getting all of the endings to fully understand the story isn't tedious thanks to the save system, and each feels like a valid choice. There's an ending where you fail the flower game that doesn't have an achievement attached to it, though it was the only way I found to fail the story.

I would love for more lore/games from the same universe as the general lore seems nice, but for what I expected, this game delivered far more.

The pacing felt natural, just the right length I feel. The pixel artstyle was very eye-candy for me, but there was one looping music track that got on my nerves a bit at one point. For an hour's experience, I'd give this a 9/10.

Comfy waifu simulator

Genuinely amazed by this game, I didn't even slightly expect to fall so in love with it when I purchased it.

This game.
It's much longer than the first game, and there's a lot more of a variety in the levels, mask abilities and characters you can play as.

The soundtrack is AMAZING, by the way. It has more tracks than the first game did by a long shot, and to top it all off they're all just as good. I'll probably end up buying it soon.

One of the replayability factors for this one comes from Hard Mode, which unlocks when you complete the normal mode of the game. It makes EVERYTHING worse. The enemies have better aim, reaction time, there are more of the 'big' enemies that you have to shoot in order to kill.

Another thing that makes hardmode harder is that when you hold shift to look further, you have to aim in the opposite direction, so you can't use it to easily shoot people who are off-screen. Oh, no lock-on either. Did I mention no lock-on?

Overall I'd definitely recommend buying this game if you enjoyed the first one or if you're looking for a challenge. It's got hours of content, and some nice achievements in it too. 9/10 from me, and when the level editor comes out, it'll be a 10.
