Great sim-cade racing game that you can tailor to make it more sim or more sim-cade. I enjoyed the career mode with the live action cutscenes- I miss stuff like that going back to the NFS live action stuff. Its well acted but sorta silly in a way but overall very entertaining.

Although this career mode felt a little too short, I really enjoyed it a lot. And afterwards, theres still tons to do but unfortunately that aspect boils down to go into a menu, do the event, go back to menu, rinse and repeat. To make things more annoying there's restrictions that are placed in which you have to race a certain number of miles to unlock this thing to simply unlock the next event and that wasnt very fun so i stopped shortly into it.

Edit: 1/4/25 Don't bother with the deluxe edition. The events aren't fun. The FMV scenes are few and far between and feel like they were worked on from the B team. You earn cash and XP but buying and upgrading cars is now pointless because you're forced to use cars in each event so it doesn't matter. Events feel like they're stretched out on purpose to pad the playtime a bit. Each dlc took me just under 2 hrs each so it's under 8 hours total.

One thing I'll mention is to buy the deluxe edition, as it includes more live action stuff with the included expansions and frequently goes on sale for 90% off. Unfortunately for me, i bought the base game at 90% off and still waiting for the deluxe to go on a deep sale so ill be paying a bit more altogether than just buying deluxe edition.
