Extremely addicting gameplay loop with tons of free customization, free battlepasses, a kickass soundtrack, a lobby hub with tons of entertainment to mess with before missions, and a stream of new updates and holiday events. The devs care a lot about this game and it shows! 10/10

You can make trains

For context, as someone who grew up in the 64/PSX era of gaming, and did not have the vast resources for game recommendations and reviews, I sadly missed out on this series, and have been just now getting into the previous games after experiencing this one for a bit. Being a fan of sci-fi over fantasy settings, I've also never played any of the Souls-Borne games, nor any other From Software titles. The closest thing I've played to Armored Core was Mechwarrior and Custom Robo. (which I am a huge fan of!)

This game made me regret that. This is almost everything I want and enjoy in a game. I have sank over 18 hours in over a couple days because of how addicting 100%'ing this game is.

Pros:
>Graphic are Beautiful!
>TONS of customization!
>Missions that make you feel like an absolute monster tearing through an army, coming up to formidable enemies that also become easier to deal with the more you advance in skill and parts loadout
>Bosses that are insanely tough. BUT FAIR! Using the right techniques and varying your arsenal are key!
>Lots of hidden content
>NewGame++ (Replayability, yay!)
>Feels like coming back home to a simple but incredibly delicious meal after all these years, I've never jumped right into a game that even when I fail miserably I just want to keep going.
>You can put cringe decals on your AC to inflict psychic damage in multiplayer
>You can be a paraplegic mech pilot in a wheelchair robot (This is canon btw)
>Moonlight Sword is in it, hurray for running gags!
>Really good for ADHD
>In game lore may make you sad if you think about it too much
>Joined a sewing club
>Alien fuel particle lady gives you schizophrenia

(Minor?)Cons:
>Maybe it feels more like a retro game by how simple yet intricate the game is, but its trying to be a successor to the old games, so mission success?
>Because of the above it doesnt totally feel like a 60 dollar game, but it does have a lot of content to dig for in NG+,NG++, and Battle Logs.
>Sometimes when there's a ton of effects and assets there is a small hiccup in fps, need to test on another machine to confirm if it's my system or not.
>Some missions feel like they lack substance or as not as creative as the rest. This is more of a nitpick, as there is a decent amount of missions, but it does affect the flow of the game when you load up a sortie for such a short time.
>Some builds become very OP in the campaign. You can choose to cheese things with them if you really want to, but this is FromSoft accessibility, they know if you want a real challenge and want to hone your skills, you absolutely can.
>I'm still jumping between the shop and build menu like in previous armored cores. I feel like we should be able to swap out parts in the test area so we can feel the changes in our core on the fly. Custom robo at least has an instant test field load time.

Overall I highly recommend this game. It may not be perfect, but holy hell does it put a friggin smile on my face!

Classic FPS with realistic gunplay. Ranking system isn't great anymore but doesn't impact the experience.

3 hours in and I can say its an amazing, challenging, and badass experience. Buy it!

Kickass soundtrack, a story to think about, you can turn people into chicken nuggets and befriend a robot wolf, 100/10.

Easy to play, hard to master. Use your rockets to go faster.
