I never knew I needed Life is Strange meets Death Stranding until now.

Lake is a beautiful game that's so relaxing to play. You get in your mail truck, drive around making deliveries and connections with people in the process. I often enjoy stories with small towns where everybody knows everybody, especially in video games. Really gives an intimate feel to it.

I did run into a few glitches in this game though that were a bit annoying but not enough to completely ruin the experience for me. One time the radio feature of the game would no longer turn off. Normally you're able to toggle the local radio station on and off when you're in the mail truck, but this time the button just didn't work anymore, and the music kept playing softly in the background even when I was far beyond the range of the truck. Restarting the game did fix this, however.

Another glitch I encountered was later on in the game, where after ending a work day, Meredith would be stuck in a walking animation. The game would move on to the next few scenes where, if she were standing idle, she'd be walking in place. If she were doing another animation like sitting down or talking on the phone, the sound of her footsteps would still keep going. Again, it was a minor annoyance for the most part, I was able to brush it off.

Besides the glitches I personally experienced, I don't have much negatives to say about this game, other than I wish it was longer. But I believe with all of the different choices you can make, this is probably a game that's meant to be played a few more times. I've only just finished my first playthrough as of writing this review, but I'm definitely curious to see what other paths I can take.

If the idea of driving around an idyllic lake town delivering mail to people appeals to you, I would highly recommend this game.
