Dragon's Dogma 2 · TLDR

I like games that give me some freedom to roleplay, –games that won't be very punishing if I decide not to play the way they're meant to be played. I've been hooked on Dragon's Dogma 2 for a while now, roleplaying as a Grim Reaper.

♡ Headcanon :

Just like the Pawns, my character is also an entity taking human form. She's not the only Reaper as much as she's not the only Arisen. Pawns are loyal to her, regardless of the nature of her existence.
I like to imagine that Reapers are guided not only by their purpose to kill, but also by their feelings, from affection to the weight of their duty. The Reaper kills to maintain balance with life, for that is her duty, but she isn't necessarily evil.

As for Pawns, they can start to have a mind of their own (a will), depending on how the Arisen treats them, so they can have feelings too. My character's pawn is a kindhearted Sorcerer. His presence has a heady effect on her, the only one who makes her feel like she could die to protect him. The bond they share is the Reaper's greatest treasure. I'm romantic, I can't help it.

♡ A short storyline I've been roleplaying on :

One day, the Reaper heard an interesting rumor about a weekly masquerade ball held at Vernworth Castle. Tell is that couples kiss at the end of the last dance! She dreamed about her Sorcerer that night... and the night after, until she invited him. The week passed and it was finally time for the long-awaited ball. The Pawn held her hand gently, then her waist. His face was flushed beneath the mask and the Reaper sighed with contentment as the music slowly swayed them together... but what a terrible idea! A Reaper and a Pawn putting their dirty feet in the castle hall? How outrageous! The guards approached them violently, their sharp swords wounded and humiliated their souls in front of everyone. Distressingly, the Reaper managed to escape with the Pawn in her arms, badly injured.
Some time passed until he healed completely, blessing his Arisen with a smile again, but she never got rid of the bitter taste of humiliation. Those beautiful dreams were replaced by nightmares about that night, so she decided to make them pay the price.
