*LACK OF CONTENT?!*

Maybe, sure, it can feel a little light, but if you're coming back from work, you're waiting for your mates to get on after they finish their shifts so you can finally run some jobs for awhile before you both inevitably have to go to bed, then I find this is perfect. This is all entirely my own view and I intend to put alot more playtime in this than I currently have as of writing this lol.

I loved Control, I love Remedy and I fully believe in the vision they have for this game, and when they said they wanted to avoid FOMO and things such as timed exclusives and similar, I was absolutely on board for Firebreak!! As it stands, this game isn't something you can probably treat as your "only game" for an extended period of time, it's at its best if its part of a rotation in your or your groups games list. The zerg-rush enemies I don't really have too much to say but currently I wish there was abit more variety maybe stylistically and animation wise with some of the heavier enemies? Content does tend to "feel" sparse but I'm not really taking that much issue with it compared to other people personally. I think the cosmetics are fun and pretty cool, I love the Northlight Engine (Remedy's in-house engine) and I love the lore and how entertaining the Remedy-verse can get.
The guns feel good to me, the gadgets feel fun and the objectives (while repetitive at times) encourage squad variety and teamplay. The way they have done perks (at max level for a perk it shares itself with your squadmates who are in close proximity) feels fun! It feels fresh.
I really feel this may end up like Control where people either love it and get it or people just can't get behind it and won't find it fun. With how the game currently is, I believe its worth the price of entry, with how long the first few jobs take, you can complete a few and really get a good feel for the game and if you really don't believe this is something you or your group can get behind, then you should still be within the 2 hour window, even with some dawdling like I did hahaha. A weird thing though, they didn't allow pre-orders for the game at all? Kind of appreciate it though, makes it feel like a weird gem of some sort.

With all post-launch content coming free to everyone who owns the game (you don't need to buy the deluxe!), and if they along with their anti-FOMO approach, then I really think the $55AUD price-point is simply just.. fine? For what it is, and considering how much I've unwillingly shelled out in the past from bigger studios which have made abysmal titles, then I find this really acceptable. Considering my current rotation consists of HD2, Rivals, Nightreign, Rematch and now this, it's really nice to be able to have a game knowing I'm not going to be punished for not playing it every single day or every second day, and I can enjoy it when I have the time and when I'm off work. A game for the employed, truly!

Please try it!
(I don't write reviews at all sorry!)

I'm terrible at it but, y'know, I like it. It's definitely the best intro into TWWH out of the trilogy.
