Thank you Square Enix for the relatively quick port. Do consider a simultaneous launch on PC for the next one.

we should have gotten this game no later than may 29th, 2024. that was when the exclusivity for PS5 expired. you can watch the trailers and verify for yourself

Square confirmed that the third game will be released simultaneously as the console version, because they stated that console exclusivity is a loss of money. Let's go!!

Why are you thanking SE when this port wasn't even ready?! Fatal errors/crashes, object pop-in, performance issues on top-end PCs, false "Steam Deck Verified" status, missing AMD FSR3 and Intel XeSS, can't disable motion blur or depth of field...

This port absolutely should have been better, and worked on longer. Here's to hoping SE actually addresses these issues.

Consicer making this game work on the platforms you port it to. I will probably get a refund. Playing on a 4070s. This is also in part steams fault for realising this on linux when it should say exlusive on steam os steam deck.

Good News, it is already confirmed pc day one since square announced final fantasy will join its other series in multiplat day one.

Square already announced that their future games will be day 1 on PC and Xbox as well. The FFVII Remake games have been under the already existing contract still, and that's the only reason we had to wait. But those shall be the last games where this is the case.

I hope they do this. I really hate PS5 version. 30 FPS really sucks, it's nauseating.

From what I heard they are. Square Enix may have cancelled (or decided not to renew) their exclusivity contract with Sony.

@reptarien

Sony doesn't own nor have any control over Square Enix. Square Enix has had exclusivity partnerships with Nintendo too, for example. SE just cares about money, and Sony was willing to give it to them to not release on Xbox; Sony even admitted to doing that for a lot of games. It's not enough of a bribe anymore, so Sony's doing what they've always done: whatever makes them the most $$$.
