How I handled waiting for the Far Cry 5 steam unlock below, archived for hysterical purposes.

Theorizing that one could time travel within his own release window, Doctor Sam Beckett led an elite group of scientists onto the steam forums to develop a top secret project, known as QUANTUM LEAP. Pressured to prove his theories or wait nearly 4 hours to play Far Cry 5, Doctor Beckett, prematurely stepped into the Project Accelerator and vanished. He awoke to find himself roughly an hour in the past, suffering from partial down sydrome and facing a post history that was not his own. Fortunately, contact with his own time was made through brainwave transmissions, with Gabe, the Project Observer, who appeared in the form of a hologram that only Doctor Beckett could see and hear while wearing an HTC Vive headset. Realizing he would now have to wait even longer to play the game, Doctor Beckett finds himself leaping from thread to thread, putting some lulz where there were none before and hoping each time, that his next thread will be the last one to go.

If you grew up in the 80's you will probably love this movie. It feels as if it were actually made in the 80s. The actors are good, the characters are fun, and the over the top moments are pretty cool. Michael Ironside plays a pretty cool villian in here also. An amusingly sadistic one. Beware the bicycle torture if you are squeamish, it was one of my personal favorite moments myself ha ha. Also, some fallout fans may also enjoy the movie even if you're not big on the 80's.

Also, this filled my ultrawide monitor on fullscreen.

Yeah I still have the novelization of the pilot about the pilot from when I was about 11 or 12 lol.

You love Quantum Leap? Oh Boy!
Simone Gaymont™ 6 Jul @ 7:36pm
I love Quantum leap too, watched it all the way up to the last episode with Dalton from MacGyver playing God or Father Time or whatever it was supposed to be in that final episode. I've beenw atching the new one too and do like some episodes of it. It took getting used to the future time being half of every episode along with the modern trope of seasonal plotlines that linger between episodes like that hitman leaper. I just hope they don't convalute it with future timeline stories. You got me from a GOME group originally iirc. But might also be the guy who asked if I was soup sniffer, lol. I didn't know you like Sliders until you caught the Remmie avatar.
battlezoby 6 Jul @ 5:28pm
I can't remember if it's just a coincidence that we both like the show, or if you noticed the Sliders thread I made in Off-topic over a year ago. BTW... there is a reboot Quantum Leap out, kind of wish it was Sliders. I always thought that part of the opening credit for Sliders was just a way of saying: "BTW, this isn't Quantum Leader." ("Where's it's the same year, and you're same person...")

Yes, That's the Cryin Man himself lol. RIP tot he creator who died this year, we probably won't get that nonwoke reboot ever now :|

Is that Remmy from Sliders?
