Wildermyth is an interesting experiment. To marry randomly generated events, relationships with characters, legacy format of rogue-likes and tactical combat together to something resembling a playable story-generator. The game's still quite far from being done, but already I've gotten a wonderful story.
A mother sacrificing herself in front of her son, only for him to finish his mother's duty to slain the evil villain and save what's left of the wrecked countryside, only for him to retreat into the woods to take care of nature after the cataclysm.
This might be the Dwarf Fortress (Or Rimworld for you younglings) of Tactical RPGs.
It is going to be interesting to see where this game will go, but already, there is a solid foundation for one-of-the-kind gaming experience.
Definitely worth of trying out and here's hoping this game gets the attention and keeps on improving.
