this game is great, youve probably heard this loads and loads of times but its true

hollow knight has little to no handholding, as soon as you know the basics youre let loose to explore the dead bug kingdom known as Hallownest. Hallownest is HUGEEE, theres something around every corner, whether that be a enemy, a item or a lore tablet with a tiny amount of the game's EXTREMELY deep lore. the game feels great to play (i personally play with a switch pro controller but iv heard its pretty great with keyboard too) the combat is fast (but not too fast that you need a insane reaction speed) and challenging, the amazing soundtrack complements this really well along with the stunning visuals

for a dead bug kingdom the game feels very much alive with the characters you meet along the way,
i am a person who very much enjoys the story in videogames, hollow knight is certainly no exception, the story of hallownest is a dark and sad one but also one that can be very easily skipped over if you dont care for that kind of thing (although if you do want to pay attention you might wanna watch some videos after youve finished the game cause its not that obvious)

as i mentioned before hallownest is HUGE and it only gets bigger with the 4 free content packs* team cherry have so nicely given us. the last one, Godmaster, added a brand new super challenge, which is really fun to do

*they were updates you dont need to download them seperately

i have left a lot of this fairly blank, its very hard to explain without accidentally spoiling something. you should probably just stop reading reviews and buy the game if youve gotten this far.

have fun exploring hallownest small knight o/
