Eustass "Captain" Kid[7] is a notorious pirate from South Blue and the captain of the Kid Pirates.[1]

He is one of twelve pirates who are referred to as the "Worst Generation".[8] One of the reasons his bounty was higher than Luffy's when they arrived at the Sabaody Archipelago was the huge numbers of civilian casualties that Kid and his crew caused in the course of their activities.[9]

Sometime during the timeskip, his bounty was raised from Beli.png315,000,000 to Beli.png470,000,000.[3] He also lost one of his arms in a confrontation against one of the Four Emperors, Shanks, during this period,[10] and attempted to form an alliance with the On Air Pirates and Hawkins Pirates to challenge the Red Hair Pirates once more, but it was eventually disbanded due to the actions of another Emperor, Kaido.[11][12][13]

Kid and his crew briefly join forces with the Straw Hat Pirates and Heart Pirates during the Sabaody Archipelago Arc. He also becomes an ally member of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance during the Wano Country Arc.

One Piece
One Piece (ひとつなぎの大秘宝（ワンピース） Wan Pīsu?, kanji read as "Hitotsunagi no Daihihō", translating to "The Great Treasure of One Piece") is a legendary treasure said to be of unimaginable value.

It was said to be hidden somewhere deep in the Grand Line, presumably on the last island, Raftel, by the late Pirate King Gol D. Roger. Before Gol D. Roger was executed, he announced to the world that this great treasure, could be claimed by anyone worthy enough to reach it, thereby starting the "Great Age of Pirates."

The Mystery of the Great Treasure
No one except the surviving members of the Roger Pirates actually knows where and what the great treasure is. The most popular theory is that they hid it on Raftel, the final island of the Grand Line.

Given the recurring theme that a treasure is merely something of great personal value (e.g. Luffy's hat) and that Roger, like Luffy, did not value money or gold, One Piece may be nothing more than an item Gol D. Roger valued. In Buggy's flashback to his days as a member of the Roger Pirates, he discussed with Shanks the meaning of a treasure, and he found that all the crew shared the same views regarding personal value.[1]

The closest the Straw Hat Pirates have ever come to finding out the nature of One Piece was during the Sabaody Archipelago Arc when Usopp tried to ask Silvers Rayleigh about it. However, Luffy stopped him on the grounds that learning about it from someone else would defeat the purpose of their adventures and that becoming the Pirate King would have little merit if he already knew about the One Piece.[2]

After decades of speculations and doubts, the treasure's existence was confirmed by Whitebeard with his last breath. He mentioned that "a grand battle will engulf the entire world" and "the world will be shaken to its core" when One Piece is found.:Brook::Brook::Brook:

Kid is a tall, muscular man with light skin and bright red hair, resembling flames. His nose has a particular shape, being quite pointed and having little protrusions on both sides. He has dark reddish purple colored lips and fingernails, red/orange eyes and no eyebrows.

Haki ( lit. "Ambition") is a latent ability that every living being in the world of One Piece possesses; very few manage to awaken it, and even fewer master it. There are three varieties of Haki: Color of Observation or Mantra ( Kenbunshoku no Haki, or Bakayarou no Haki) allows one to sense the presence of other beings and to have a form of limited precognition. (This is a great advantage in combat because the user can foresee his opponent's attacks). Color of Armament allows one to envelop body parts and even inanimate forms with a force akin to an invisible armor that possesses defensive and offensive properties. It also allows one to inflict harm upon Devil Fruit users. The rare Color of the Conquering King is an ability that, unlike the other two Haki, only a few gifted people have. (If a person is not gifted, then no matter how much they train they will never be able to use it).

After landing on the Sabaody Archipelago, the Straw Hats begin searching for a man Hatchan knows who can coat their ship, so they can continue onto Fishman Island. Usopp and Franky stay behind to make repairs to the ship, and Sanji stays as well in order to guard the treasure for Nami. Hatchan tells the Straw Hats that the World Nobles are also known as the Celestial Dragons and that they wear masks so that they do not breathe the same air as the common people. Additionally, he tells them that Sabaody is crawling with famous pirates, bounty hunters, and slave traders. Luffy notices a wound on Hatchans head to which Hatchan tells him not to mind it and also to treat Keimi and himself like humans. Meanwhile, Luffy, Brook, Chopper, and Hatchan run into a runaway slave who is begging for someone to take off his slave collar. He tries to take it off himself, but then the collar explodes. The Celestial Dragons come to the scene, and Hatchan tells Luffy and the others to get on their knees.
