Balanced like absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for ng+ runs. Playing on NG+3 and normal enemies take a beating and kill me in 2 shots. Miniboss normal enemies taking 3+ minutes to kill. Band aid fixes with difficulty options that lessen the experience. Very disappointed.

EDIT FOR DLC: Still keeping the review positive since I had such a good time with base game, but not a fan of the addition of difficulty options, and the DLC isn't balanced at ALL around NG+ runs. WEAK.

EDIT: Season 2.5 is trash. Buffs to characters that had no need for buffs. EOMM still insanely bad. Anybody claiming EOMM isn't a thing is coping out of their mind.

Seems like they are a VERY LONG way from fully completing... whatever this game is. While I did enjoy my time with it, I cannot recommend that anybody else pick it up currently if you are expecting a complete experience. Seriously seems like a huge misstep to release it when they did.

EDIT: After watching their recent video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzAtYaSYZms) explaining that they bought back the publishing rights for this game, yeah. Seems like publisher forced them to get it out super early. Happy to see they are fully independent and I have high hopes going forward. Swapping to a tentative "Yes" because I loved Ori and I believe in Moon Studios to get it right :)

Game is definitely not 40+ hours long unless you replay it like twice. Solid AA Soulslike with some jank. Lacking in boss and enemy variety. I enjoy the status ailment system. Really loved the setting and the music. Hope they take some lessons from this game and create a sequel that is better. Overall enjoyed this.
