If you're at all interested in fighting games, this is a no-brainer. A varied, well-balanced roster, great spritework, amazing music, and startlingly good netcode. Since the rollback update last year, the game has seen a resurgence, so you'll find plenty of people online in ranked and public rooms. If you want to dive deep into the mechanics, you'll find an exhaustive wiki and an active community of players. And it's 80% off for the next two weeks. Give it a shot!

Not the longest, but it's still a solid, smooth game with beautiful artwork and music. I look forward to the next update!

Just as good as it was the first time. Age hasn't dulled its shine.

The game itself is fun so far. No issues with the port so far that weren't easily fixed on my end. Would be nice to have some more display options.

Played this cause of the spring cleaning thing. It's a nice game. Good story. Not super tough as far as platformers go, but it has some pretty interesting mechanics. Worth picking up if you like that sort of stuff.

The puzzles in this game are on another level. I did not manage to make it without hints. Waiting for the sequel so I can get my mind blown all over again.

The base game is okay. Not amazing, not terrible, enough to keep you entertained for a decent amount of time. Like its counterparts in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series developed by Bethesda, however, it is saved by a large and vibrant modding community. Granted, there is a bit of learning to do before leaping in, so as to make sure you don't crash all the time, but it is well worth the effort. First of all, there exists a series of patches that fix the vast majority of the games bugs. On the graphics side, there are countless retextures, remeshes, and, for those with better rigs, ENBs to make the game look beautiful. There are also plenty of gameplay changes and fan-made items and quests if you're looking for something a bit meatier. For example, as of June 11th, fully functioning dwarven jetpacks have been available for download. I could go on about all the cool mods available, but really, if you wouldn't pay $5-7(or whatever it goes on sale for now) for jetpacks in Skyrim, you might just need to reevaluate your priorities.

Borderlands always gets compared to its successor. While I agree that the 2nd installment does a good job of varying the environments and enemies, has a better story (although that's not saying much), and is overall more challenging, this is still my favorite. Borderlands is a game where you shoot things with guns. Lots and lots of them. They fall out of just about everything. In fact, despite statements to the contrary, I'm pretty sure this has more guns than BL2. This is the fun bit; the story and related stuff might be a bit lackluster, but it knows its place and lets the looting take front stage. The DLC is generally good, the music is appropriate, and the menu stays still. Reasonably priced and good for a few hours of entertainment every now and then.
