"XCOM for kids" isn't really fair to say about this because it's more like a refined XCOM experience. When I don't have time to play an hour long mission crawling across a map, this sets up the exciting parts of the XCOM experience in 10 minute chunks. The raw turn based experience is different, but not bad. You already get an advantage with the breach mechanic that doing regular XCOM Time Unit battles would make the game frustrating.

I'm an XCOM fan and I liked it. It was fun to push the story forward ever so slightly and the XCOM mechanic works well for what's essentially a SWAT game.
