Still yet to explore a lot in this game but oh man... if you played Monster Train 1, then you will feel the urge to explore new mechanics, combos, clans, cards etc. while feeling like at home. Core idea being the same, but the game is polished to a high level, with a lot of new content in comparison to MT1.
I could even let it run in the background because the music itself is sooo daaaamn gooooood :D

For me personally it is now second best deck-building roguelike (after Balatro)
9.9/10

What a waste of money in current state... Seriously. It is buggy, glitchy, armies appear, disappear out of nowhere.
I will give it a try for a few more hours but my frustration is rising every turn.
Technologies tree is disgusting, uninformative (the lines between tell you nothing, you don't know what is needed for specific technology to be available for you)
I don't know why I had high hopes for this :(

Awesome city building game, with a major "rogue-like" twist, which gives it incredible replayability. Perfect balance of becoming better with planning forward and randomness which surprises you with different challenges every time. You think you are ready for everything unless you are actually not and it leads to satisfying problem solving.
"Improvise, adapt, overcome" in the city building genre.

TL;DR: Innovative deckbuilder / roguelike (no, not like Slay the Spire). Definitely worth a try! 9.5/10
(edit: 11/10)

Played demo for a few hours... I have never waited for the release date of any game like for this one. (besides Cyberpunk 2077 :P )
Do you enjoy deckbuilders and games where you can scale gained points so much that they punch a hole through your roof top? You NEED to check this out.
This game is simple, yet innovative but also includes many different mechanics which are ingenious.
1. You get standard playing deck, what feels familiar to anyone who played card games.
2. You create standard poker like hands, which give you more points.
3. Reach the goal in a few hands, or game over.

Simple? Yes. Addictive? Yes.

Mechanics:
- During your run you can buy jokers which give you extra abilities, extra cash, multipliers of your scores - more points
- You can get Planet cards which permanently for this run upgrade types of hands - MORE POINTS
- You can upgrade specific cards from your deck which will add multiplications - EVEN. MORE. POINTS.
- All of these upgrades can be bought in the Shop for money which you earn after defeating blinds (reaching a goal)
- Shops have a huuuuge variety of items, each run is different
- You can unlock different decks which have cool starting abilities.
- You can unlock difficulty level...
and many, many more...

If you really want to compare this deckbuilder (kinda roguelike) to Slay the Spire:
- You don't explicitly choose a path here, but you are allowed to skip minor "enemies" to get some bonus.
- Unlike in Slay the Spire, all card upgrades are permanent (for the run) even if done during "a fight". Slay the Spire card upgrades are permanent either if it says so, or if done outside of a battle.
- Combos here really DO SCALE. But you need to experience it on your own.
There are a lot of other differences, but I just don't want to bore you.

There is even such an attention to detail how cards glare, have cool effects. Or when you open packs it just feels so right.
Fans of collectibles will for sure enjoy this one.

Depth? 10/10
Graphics? 9/10
Music? 9/10
"One. More. Turn." Syndrome? YES.
Quality to price ratio: INSTA BUY.

Until now (a few hours in demo and almost an hours in the base game) I didn't find any bugs. What only shows how the game is polished or that I didn't understand how the game is summing the points and how it should do it (might have overheated my brain after some of the calculations)

If you are still reading...
just don't waste any more time, buy the game and play it :)

Early Access Review
If you enjoyed Vampire Survivors... wait, no. This game is on completely different level.
I think Vampire Survivors on steroids is an understatement.
Basic idea is the same, you walk around, your character auto shoots enemies.
But...
There are a few really cool mechanics, kinda new for this genre, like procedurally generated environment. You can dig out resourced that you will use in this run, but also different ones that are spent for permanent upgrades.
You can destroy rocks to escape yourself from swarms but also help yourself out to fight enemies in corridors instead of open area.
A looot of items, weapons, what is already surprising for a game which is still in Early Access.
Unique level up system, which allows you to upgrade weapons in different ways each run.
Rogue-lite + "vampire survivors"-like game, definitely worth a try.
9/10 for sure and I am looking forward to future updates and extra content!

If you like any deck building card games and you don't have this one, just buy it already. It has more depth and potiential to create insane combos than Slay the Spire!

It brings back such great memories, when I was 9 years old and played this with my cousins while living our innocent lives. :) This game is ageing very well, the only missing things that would make it 100% complete are:
- controller support
- working multi player (even in LAN).
Controller you can try to assign keys but still it doesn't work perfectly, when it comes to multi I tried GameRanger with my friend but something was odd and not working. Besides that, graphics are neat when considering this is over 13 years old (suprisingly good tbh) destruction system is briliant (you can witness your car being turned into pancake) and game play awesome, satisfying. As cherry on top I would consider music, rock, a lot of songs giving you the will to either win the race or smash others on full speed. So much fun! :)

To be honest I am really huge fan of physical and digital card games. On top of that I have played a lot of roguelikes (never fully finished one :P ). It is just combination of these two.
Such a great game, with a lot of depth into it. 4 playable unique characters give you an option to completely switch approach to finding the "working deck".
If you enjoy similar games like I do, I would definitely give it a try, most likely you will get addicted for a while :P

Two sad facts:
- I lost a big part of my life to this game.
- I would like to regret it

Game is just awesome to play alone, local and online coop. Intense, short matches, you can't get bored. From my side there are only two cons.
Firstly: Like in most online games with big community, meeting toxic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is quite often fact. When you reach higher rank like champ II you realize that there are more friendly people that have already learned that salty behaviour brings nothing good.
Secondly: Psyonix updates the game quite often what brings a lot of nice content, but unfortunately there is always some annoying bug coming along. It is not connected to the gameplay itself, it's mostly about menu info, showing XP and so on. It is just annoying but nothing big.
