Tim Sweeney is a dim weenie.

Unlike Epic's games today, you can play this game on Linux. This is because they didn't have Twitter in 1998, so Tim had no outlet to make the world's dumbest excuses.

Edit: Tim Sweeney's latest excuse to the Verge is that he needs "10 million units sold" to... flip a switch in his game. This is also an exceedingly stupid excuse.
Unreal Tournament 2004 had a native Linux port day-in-date with the Windows version. Ubuntu wasn't even out at the time. Now that Epic doesn't even need to port games to Linux and can just let this magical thing called Proton do all the work, Epic has instead decided to spit in your face.

Even Microsoft's games work on Linux. You don't have an excuse.

I love this game and hanging out with people in it, however, their recent decision to add Easy Anti-Cheat is useless and hostile towards people who also enjoy this game.
Adding EAC won't do a damn thing about the crashers, but it will ♥♥♥♥ with everyone who have the quality of life improvements that they've neglected to implement into the game. All this does is add a layer of user hostility to the game it didn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ need.
People raised hell about StarForce in the 2000s, EAC does the exact same thing and no one seems to bat an eye.

Paid $0.10 for this game, and it's basically a game most likely made in 2 minutes by some guy who wanted to make a quick buck.
At least I got my Souvenir MAG-7 back.
Definitely not worth booting into my Windows 10 partition.
