A wonderful little experience.

A very casual puzzle game that is reminiscent of old point and click adventure games. You must prevent murders through a time loop, slowly unravelling a mystery and discovering new areas of a large mansion.

Although the game type is completely different, the game created a similar experience to what i felt playing Danganronpa and the 999 games.

They fixed bots.

Genuinely I think the game design is on par if not superior to some modern day games within the genre.

After finishing the game, I think the thing that will stay with me is the sheer amount this game has to say. The game seems to both criticise modern day society as well as support and empower the very same things.
Certain characters and story lines offer surreal reflections of real world issues and moral arguments that I have personally put a lot of contemplation into. I think the writers managed to create some really intriguing plots.

The game suffers from not quite filling it's scope, you'll find yourself travelling through various quest line just to find it ends with multiple possible paths unexplored or dropped.Mostly effects loose side quests rather than the main story. It will leave you wanting in some areas.

If you run this game on a HDD, you're going to experience very long loading screens, and the world not being able to render as fast as you can travel through it. Not game breaking but unavoidably noticeable.

Past that, the 'mature content' in this game is shoved down your throat. you can't walk more than 8 steps with some advert moaning in your ear. It does add the dystopian city vibe but just brace yourself for it xD.

As some one who likes the three kingdoms period/stories and also some of the previous total war games, I do highly recommend this game.

I found it more confusing than previous entries and I'm much worse at it, I still enjoy playing it.

Early Access Review
I've enjoyed playing for a little bit PVE. The game has a very fun premise. However there are many more negative things to say past that.

Everyone is complaining about visuals and optimisation. And these complaints are more than justified. The game runs terribly and also looks like ♥♥♥♥ on any settings that make it playable, and I have just slightly higher specs than the recommended requirements. Using DLSS/FSR seems like a must but results in your game being very blurry. It feels like my pmc suffers from 4/20 vision.

The public release timing is obviously off the back of tarkovs negative press atm however I don't think that's inherently bad. I would however argue that £30 is a little steep for the game in it's current state.

All being said, I'm enjoying playing it. Other than the first 1 hour spent trying to min max my settings to avoid stuttering and having reasonable fps. So I'm going to positively review this under the assumption that over the next 4 weeks the more glaring playability issues are going to be solved.

Really rewarding and calm exploration game with maze puzzles. But once you've played for hours it will be a torment that haunts your sleep. Pretty good, one of the few puzzle games I do not have the ability/will power to 100%.

I found this game very refreshing. It had a premise and story that kept me very interested.

For someone familiar with the foundation in the SCP world, the premise of this game is clearly a spin on that organisation. And this game does well to make me feel like I've stumbled into the middle of the foundation during a crisis. The atmosphere at the start captivated me into wanting to explore the mysteries of this confusing and scary facility.

I believe the creators of this game genuinely cared about the world they were creating and the way the player would view this world and story. I felt the same kind of immersion from this game as I would from a tv series or film. For the vast majority of this game I was reading every collectable (in the form of short pieces of readable text) because I genuinely found them well written and intriguing. Normally I would not read 'lore' in most games as I find it dumps a lot of words at you, however in this game I think the creators cared enough to create pieces of text that I found fun to read.
There was even a mechanic that allows you to enter certain hidden areas, one which I did not become aware of until 25 hours into this game. And then I realised it had been there since the start of the game waiting for me to figure it out. Little (or maybe big) things like that really won me over with this game.

Certain mechanics in the game created situations where I felt parallel to character. You experience certain areas or dialogues in a way that will make you feel uneasy or confused, which I believe is to simulate the feelings in the main character in those moments and made me feel more in touch with the story.
The use of live action recordings are used throughout the game, sometimes to create a much more immersive characters and scenarios but also to create some cool visual effects.

Combat follows certain rules that I think are common in most 3rd person action games, however I found the combat systems fun and paced well to keep me entertained, through the addition of new enemies and abilities. The map design really allows you to use the telekinesis ability to the fullest, always giving you something to throw, and when there isn't you can create things to lesser effect. It did truly feel seamless.

Now my one big annoyance throughout the game. The constant back tracking for optional areas. When playing the game you are constantly passing areas which you will not be able to access until later. Which to start with is okay, however once you put a few hours in (and if you're like me) you will forget where everything is. Resulting in you going back to the start of the game, and walking through the entire map looking for numbered doors. I could have fixed this by noting down all the optional areas, but still, it left a sour taste in my mouth.

Anyway, I've just finished the base game and am looking forward to the DLC. This is in no way a indepth review, but honestly after completing the game I enjoyed it that much that I felt I needed to write something long to recommend it... I really enjoyed this game :)

(As a final note: If you play this game and it seems blurry, try disabling Global reflections, for some reason my 3070 did not like this setting and left it looking much worse on than off)

Half the content is locked behind other pay walls on release.

In it's current state, this is a great game to sink some hours into if you are looking for a resource harvesting/base-building/exploration game with a survival game feeling. It's not very difficult even on it's hardest difficulties but it can be quite fun with a story to give you some direction when you start playing.
The multiplayer isn't very fleshed out but if you all start together you can share a world which is more interesting then playing alone.
Ultimately i believe this is a good game.

Had a bunch of fun playing this game. It doesn't quite live up to the amount of world building and cool little sub stories as the other games but makes up for it in quality of life and size of the areas you can explore.
One of my favourite games!
