EDIT: Nevermind, it didn't freeze for just one day, now it's freezing the whole PCs I try to play on even more frequently if anything.

I will divide the review in four parts since the game has three main modes and the last part for the mechanics that are the same for all three modes.

For now I have 6 hours of the game and it's really disappointing, if anything gets better after putting a few more hours in I will update the review.

World Tour:

The "World Tour" mode is just a mess of optimization, the graphic is not that good with buildings and vehicles in really low resolutions until you get near and with distant NPC having their framerate reduced this mode still manages to lag most of the time and it doesn't matter which graphics setting you use as after some time the game will eventualy start lagging again and this wouldn't even be that bad if not for the frustrating NPC that constantly want to attack you even you have 10 more levels than them. While fighting these NPC then the game tries to make the combat going at 60 fps by slowing down everything making every fight a nightmare to watch in slowmotion...

Creating the character is fun, it's unfortunate that it's useless to make a good one as the game has major issues on this mode.

Battle Hub:

I was very interested in this, unfortunatly this mode is already dead. The most people I could find in the Europe server are 2 during the evening, at any other time the lobby is just empty so there's basically no point in this mode.

Fighting Ground:

The multiplayer at least works well, it's responsive and it's quick to find a match. They did a strange choice by making the matchmaking start by exiting the matchmaking screen but luckly reddit was helpful in finding this strange choice and understand how to actually play online...

Overall:

After these three modes the game mechanics are the same for all three and here's where we have some issues as well. The most disappointing thing is that the game doesn't recognize the moves you're doing in the game if you use the classic input method, you can actually see the inputs on screen and see that they are correct based on the move list the game gives you but then the character won't do them no matter what. You can try going slower at 20 or 10 frames per input or faster at 5 or 1 frame per input and the character will just do what it feels like doing instead of making the correct move addressed to the inputs you did and that are confirmed on screen by the game itself. For some reason instead by giving the wrong inputs the move is registered by the character for some reason, even on the reply made from the CPU it gives wrong inputs for most moves instead of what is shown on the move list so probably they just didn't put the effort to show the correct inputs in the move list...

If you're new to the Street Fighter unfortunatly you're just better off avoiding the best part of the game: the multiplayer. There are no beginners in the game it seems, no matter if you go into casual or ranked matches even at the rookie league you will just find people that can do all the combos and parry anything without any issues. I suppose the only chance it's to get into training for around 40-50 hours before going into the multiplayer as the people in the matchmaking are insanely good.

This game is also the worst user-friendly game ever, for example if you need to change the game inputs from Modern to Classic you can find a setting in the command page. That should be enough right? WRONG. You need to change there the main setting, then you have for some reason to enable the "only keyboard" setting and then disable it again to take effect in World Tour for example. Then you go online and you find the modern inputs again... because apparently you need to change this setting for each single character in their profile on the matchmaking settings too... I see the sense about this but at least they should let know the players how to change it instead of needing to find everything on reddit or something.

Hopefully they will make a tutorial or something after some time...

After all this so for a new player the only interesting part would be the World Tour as it seems an interesting story to play but unfortunatly it's broken by the poor performance of the mode.

I would give this game a 5/10 score as playing with some friends at least can be fun but then 2 out of 3 of the modes in the game are just broken or dead so I think it's more of a 4/10...

Probably if you're a veteran player you can have a lot of fun on this game as it seems really cool.

Score: 4/10

Un'esperienza unica, ha avuto un inizio turbolento con i problemi di performance ma ora che sono stati risolti è innegabilmente uno dei migliori giochi degli ultimi anni.

The game is too simple, the tracks are boring and short.
