Kenshi is an interesting mixed bag of a game that I love. While the game has optimization issues due to running on an old relic of a game engine, the core gameplay is an interesting mix of base building and adventure in an open world with bits of pieces of lore and world building sprinkled throughout. I do find the idea of you and your crew starting off as basically weak nobodies that have to work their way up. Almost every monster and bandit will kick your ass at first, so it feels nice when you've built up to a point to where you can fight back. Additionally, for those who want more out of their experience or just an easier experience overall there's plenty of mods that make the game easier or just more convenient as well.

Certainly not a game for everyone, and definitely takes some patience and adjustment to get over the visuals and technical issues, but an enjoyable experience for a certain crowd.
