They buckled down and fixed a lot of the annoyances post 1.0, and they are still trucking along at the current time so A+ from me. Oh yeah and the game is great.

A fun town building game akin to something like New Dawn or Banished with some tower defense action.

Pros
- It has a fair bit of depth and a few different regions to experience so replay value is pretty high.
- The pixel graphical style is very simple, but does look quite nice in my opinion.
- There are a lot of different options for defense, so your base isn't always the same.
- You can migrate your villagers and deliver resources to difference towns you have setup in different areas. For example, have a mining town setup where there is heaps of rock and deliver the resources to your towns where you need to set up defenses quickly.

Cons
- It can be hard to make out what is happening sometimes when some of your villagers are getting attacked because the art style can make the game look quite cluttered.
- Some of the buildings look a little similar so sometimes it is hard to remember what's what without clicking them.

Overall a good time and I'll surely be returning to this game every so often to improve my world.

Pros
+ Best natural selection simulator you will find.
+ Dev is helpful and responsive.
+ Updated often.

Cons
- Very unfinished.
- Performance problems. (GTX 980ti - i5 6600K: Runs on very high settings with 60FPS up to around 1100 creatures, huge drop off to 1 FPS at around 1500 creatures.)
- Crashes abound, but there is a functioning autosave system so it's not too bad. I personally get 1 crash every 2 hours or so.

If you have an interest in biology and evolution, I believe the game currently offers enough for a purchase.

Awesome game. Can't stop playing.

+ Every map you play feels different with very dynamic feeling objectives.
+ Trying out different builds for mechs is great fun and very in-depth.
+ You can salvage mechs you have defeated in battle and after collecting enough, add that mech to your collection. It's very fun to go head to head with a new mech in battle trying to kill the pilot instead of completely destroying it so you can salvage more of it.
+ Learning the game can be tricky, as there are many systems to remember, but it is very rewarding once you figure it out.
- Certain aspects of the game (such as the random pop-up events in the campaign) seem a bit rushed, and there are a few bugs.

No more mods, so with no singleplayer dlc to be released ever means there's really no point in buying this game anymore, unless you want to bore yourself to death playing the online mode.

I bought a founder pack for this game when it first came out and, while fun, I never really got into that much. I kept coming back to it every now and again to see what progress they made but never stuck around for long.

Now that the game has come out on Steam I've come back again and this time I think I can honestly say the game is in a state where it is thoroughly enjoyable. It still has problems though, and if you're a diehard fan of BattleTech and the old MechWarrior games there are a few changes that might annoy you.

As for the business model, I personally think it's quite fair. You can buy every mech for in-game earned money (C-Bills), although new mechs are only available for real money for a while after their release. Honestly you never have to spend a dime in this game to enjoy it. When you first start you get a huge boost to your income for the first 30 games or so, so you can buy whatever mech you like pretty fast (at least I think that's still a thing, it was when I played a year or so ago). Once your starter bonus is up you still make money at a very fair rate, and since playing the game is actually very fun, time will fly so fast you'll suddenly realise you have heaps of cash to buy a new mech or new weapons or whatever you want.

So yeah, I heartily recommend this game! :D

Like Dwarf Fortress but with a grapical interface that you can make sense of right away.

A lot of fun and deserves more attention.
